**Chapter 19**

Curiosity burned through me as I wondered where Liam was taking me. When he parked the car, I noticed we were on a hillside, looking down over the small town. I had never been up here before, and the view was beautiful.

We got out of the car and I looked over at Liam, who was admiring the view as much as I was, "What is this place?" I asked him as I walked around the car and over to his side.

"It's called The Viewpoint. People park up here all the time and have little picnics over there on the grass," he said, pointing to a little grassy spot to our left. "You can see the whole town from up here, and it's really beautiful at dusk," he said and walked over to the railing, "And if you wanted to get a closer look, you can even put a quarter in this machine to get a better view. I don't think it works anymore though which sucks."

I smiled, "I like it up here. It's beautiful." I said. When I looked down I noticed large, sharp rocks lined this part of the hillside. Liam must've noticed my worried expression.

He smiled reassuringly, "Just don't get too close and you won't have to worry about getting hurt," he said with a smile. "Well, let's get our dinners and set up a little place to eat shall we?"

Liam walked back to his car, opening the rear door. He pulled out the two boxes, handing one to me, and a folded up blanket.

"Do you do this often?" I asked.

He looked at me confused, "What do you mean?"

I shrugged, "You're just very prepared that's all." I said, amusement evident in my voice, and I pointed to the blanket hanging over his arm.

"That's a long story." He said, a frown forming on his face, but he quickly replaced it with a smile.

"We have plenty of time." I suggested.

"Let's just get things set up first. Then we came talk about whatever."

"Okay." I said. We walked down the short dirt path leading to the grassy spot on the hillside. Liam laid the blanket down, and sat down on the blanket. He patted the spot next to him and I sat down. He handed me my dinner and I smiled, thanking him and turned to look that the view.

The sun was setting slowly, causing the sky to turn into different pastel shades of pink, orange, purple, yellow, and blue. As it grew darker, more and more lights would turn on in the town, glowing faintly below us.

"This place is really beautiful, Liam. I love it up here." I smiled.

He raised an eyebrow at me, "Do you love it even more than the restaurant?" He asked.

I sighed happily, "Yeah, a lot more." I admitted.

He nodded, "I like to come up here from time to time. That's why I have the blanket. When I want to get away from home, I just come here. It's quiet and I can just relax, where as at home, I have my mum and sister who can really drive me crazy at times, but the real person that makes me come here is my mum's boyfriend. I don't particularly like the guy, so everything he does drives me nuts. So I'll come here to get away from them. Sometimes I even end up spending the night up here."

I nodded, taking in this new information, "Well, I think this is the perfect place to come and clear your head." I said. I watched Liam smile to himself, nodding as he ate more of his dinner. This time that I spent with him gave me more and more butterflies as the minutes ticked by, and I loved it. "Do you want to play a game?" I asked him. His mouth was full of food so he shrugged then nodded, "20 questions?" I asked, and I immediately saw his eyes fill with worry. I shook my head, "Nothing too personal. More general things." I suggested.
