**Chapter 20**

I woke up the next morning feeling better than ever. I haven't felt this happy in a long time. I had a great time with Liam. Our time spent together was simple and easy; no pressure, no discomfort, no awkwardness. Just easy going.

My once pleasant thoughts slowly faded away as the thought of Harry invaded my mind, bringing back a familiar sting in my chest. I enjoyed my time with Liam last night, and I couldn't have thanked him enough for saving the night, but I really wished it was Harry and I having a romantic dinner together.

I don't understand why Harry would do that. Why would he ask me out on a date then not even show up? Or even tell me he couldn't make it? He didn't even text me to say that he couldn't make it.

I closed my eyes and with a deep sigh, I sat up in bed. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and grabbed my phone, noticing I had a few new text messages. Several of those texts were from Harry, apologizing for last night and asking to meet up during the day so he can explain himself. Some were from Analeigh asking how my night went. And then there were two from Liam, asking when I had my break today then later apologizing for texting me so late. His text made me smile.

I decided to reply to Harry first. Even though I wanted to know why he didn't show up last night, I didn't feel like I was ready to know why. I just want to pretend that everything is going to be alright, even though it might not be. I want to pretend that it doesn't hurt as much as it actually does. I really like Harry, but after last night, I'm not so sure anymore.

I replied:

I can't hang out today Harry. I'm going to be busy during my break so maybe another time...

I sent the message, then went back to reply to Analeigh.

I replied:

Not so well... I don't really want to talk about it..

I sent that message and as I was about to reply to Liam, my phone started ringing, displaying Harry's name. I really didn't want to talk to him, but I couldn't ignore him forever. I slid the little green phone over to answer his call.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Julina, I'm really sorry about last night. I just need five minutes to tell you what happened." Harry rushed.

I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose lightly, "Harry, I'm about to get ready for school. I really don't have time to talk."

"That's okay. I really wanted to talk to you in person anyway."

"I'm going to be busy during my break today. I already told you this Harry."

"I know you did, but I'm just asking for five minutes of your time. I'm sure you can spare five minutes."

"I really can't Harry. I have to start working on a project. Maybe we can talk Monday or something." I lied.

"When is your break today?" He asked, quickly changing the subject.

"From one to two." I stated simply.

"Where are you going to be?" he asked.

"I don't know for sure yet."

I heard him sigh through the phone, sounding irritated, "Will you let me know where you end up? I just want to talk."

"I understand that Harry, but maybe I don't feel like talking to you right now. You have to understand that you hurt me, so I'm sorry, but I really don't feel like talking to you right now, today." I admitted.

"I know I did and I'm so incredibly sorry for hurting you. I just want to explain what happened. If I can't talk to you today, its going to eat me alive all weekend." he admitted.
