Elizabeth's Pov

It had been around a week since Phillip and I watched the clouds pass in the garden. My ankle was feeling a lot better, as I didn't require the splint anymore, and I could put some of my weight back onto it, providing that I took time to rest it.

It was a slow recovery process.

I began to get bored of just lying around in the house all day. So far I have read 5 different books, played with the girls every morning and every night, helped Charity with any chores around the house AND Anne and W.D had both come to visit me. Telling me about what has been happening at the museum.

Phillip was just about to leave, head off to the museum, when I finally decided the question I have been dying to ask for the whole week.

"Can I come with you?"

Both Phillip's and Charity's heads turned to look at me, seeing if I was serious or not.

"Please? I won't do any tricks, I promise. I just want to go see everyone."

After a short discussion between the two, they allowed me to go. Which promoted the girls to ask if they could go as well.

Charity looked unsure of what to do, I know that she has been wanting some time to relax after the day with her parents ( which didn't go exactly as planned according to Caroline).

"I can look after them. They can stay with me for the whole day, its the least I can do." I said looking between Charity and the girls.

"Alrighty then. Girls, listen to Lizzy and don't leave her side for the day okay? And Behave!" She called out as the girls ran out the door once they got the greenlight.

Charity and I quickly prepared a basket for the day, filled with lunch for the girls as well as myself, before I raced out the door to hope in the carriage waiting.

The girls excitement radiated off them as they bounced around the carriage. Phillip laughed at them as well as began to play with them in the carriage as well.

I have been so worried about Phillip this past week. After everything that has happened between us at the theatre as well as my ankle, Barnum leaving to go on tour with Miss Lind, Him having to run and managed the show. It has all really taken a toll on him. And to make it worse, his parents had been taking everything he has earned ,away from the circus, away from him.

But here, with the girls playing. He was relaxed almost, happy that he could take a break from the world just to focus on these girls. Two girls who looked up to him, for what he had become. Not what he had been.

The two girls almost threw themselves out the window when we pulled up at the museum. Phillip helping me out of the carriage. Anne came out to hug the girls and then me, shaking hands with Phillip. She was still pretty hesitant around him after I told her everything, unsure if she wanted me to go near him.

"Mr Carlyle." She began before Phillip cut her off, telling her to call him by his first name.

Anne began her sentence again. "Phillip, there is someone waiting inside for you."

We began to walk faster, the girls now behind us as we were all unsure who would be waiting inside.

Once we were in there, everyone parted. Giving us a full picture of who it was sitting on a barrel of hay.

It was a girl, with jet black hair (which was tightly pulled back into a bun, lifting the features of her face).

"Hannah?" Phillip questioned, frozen in his spot.
