Phillip's Pov
"What?" I asked, trying to make sense of everything that had happened in the space of a quarter of an hour.
"Look I don't have time to explain right now. There is a door to the left which will take you out to the other side of the farm." She quickly tells me as Lizzy starts to groan, slowly waking up. Hannah jumped to her feet before rushing out of the room, saying to me to get out of here as quickly as possible.
The door half closed behind us, not locking on purpose. Hannah had left the door open enough for us to get out. Lizzy's sea green eyes flashed open, and for the first time I noticed little gold flecks in them. Making them look like stars in an ocean.
Lizzy's Pov
"Phillip?" I breathed slowly as my eyes flickered open, Phillip's face coming into focus. I lifted my hand up and touched his cheek lightly, making sure he was real. Not fragment of my imagination. "What happened?" I asked, wincing as a surge of pain shot through my leg.
I looked down at it, seeing that it was wrapped in a bandage and the residue of stiches were evident.
"Knife wound. Lillia." He uses short sentences to allow me time to process as my memory was still a bit groggy. I nodded as he helped me up to my feet, my arms wrapped around his shoulder to stabilize me.
We hobbled out of the barn, Phillip taking most of my weight as I can barley even support myself. He keeps telling me that everything will be okay and that he will explain later. We hobble/run out of the door on the left, it taking us to the other side of the barn. To the left again is a small cliff which overlooks the sea and to the right is more fields and forest. The choice of which way to go is pretty obvious.
We turn to go around the corner of the barn, pain shooting through my leg rapidly. To the extent where I can taste the metallic blood from biting my cheek soo much.Sharp pain lanced through my head and colorful spots flashed in front of my eyes, it felt like my whole body had been beaten and every movement caused some muscle or bone to ache.
We go to turn and instead are faced with something and someone, we didn't want to see.
"Leaving so soon?" Lillia asked, as the revolver in her had cocking. She pointed it at the two of us with a smirk on her face and I could feel the blood drain out of my own. Phillip was still standing next to be, somehow keeping his composure.
Hannah was no where to be seen but I just pressed my fingertips into Phillip's shoulder.
"Lillia," I begin, my voice coming out as strong rather than weak and fearful. "You can still come back from this. Put the gun down and we can help you, help you get what you want. A happy life." I could see that she was considering it, the gun wavering slightly as if she was going to put it down. But instead she chose to keep the gun up, removing her emotion. Her humanity.
"You don't get to win every time." She hissed and the sound of a gun shot echoed through out the film. I expected some sort of jolt, something which would through me back. More pain even. But none of that came, I wasn't shot.
Phillip.
I turn, maybe a bit too quickly with my leg, to see Phillip but he was still standing next to me, his eyes fixated onto the ground. It is then I see that we are further away from where we were standing and I follow Phillip's eyes to the ground.
And there laid Hannah Carlyle, spread on the ground. The fabric of her dress slowly absorbing the blood which rushed from her stomach.
A/N
Please don't hate me but I won't be able to upload again until next Friday, I have big tests on every day this week and I am ready to cry about it.
Btw, question for people who watch Vampire diaries, I am up to season 4 and I was just wondering does a vampire only get to switch their humanity off once? Or can they do it multiple times? I have probs missed something in a previous episode but I am just curious.
Thanks.
Love, Maya
