Phillip's Pov
I carried Lizzy into Megan's room, a cough rattling Lizzy's lungs - echoing through out the room. Her eyes remained half opened and half closed, as if she was having an inner debate with herself as to stay fully conscious.
" How about you just settle her down here?" Megan suggested as she cleaned her bed off and place a clean sheet over the top of her quilt.
Gently I placed Lizzy down onto the bed, propping her head up on a few pillows. Wiping the sweat off her brow as she coughed again. Her eyes opened a couple of times, illustrating that they were glazed over, before shutting again. Megan pulled a small box out from underneath her bed, the puffed sleeves of her dress crinkling with each move she made.
"Phillip, I am going to have to get you to step back okay?" Megan advised as she cut a small section of Lizzy's sweat soaked tee shirt away, revelling her three cuts. She began talking to Lizzy, letting her know what was happening. She doused a cotton rag in alcohol before placing it on Lizzy's cuts, Lizzy face tangled itself in pain but no sound escaped her lips. I don't exactly know what Megan did after that but Megan removed both of us from the room, allowing Lizzy to sleep without a watchful eye staying over her.
"So?" I asked once we were a fair distance from the room.
"She is going to be fine Phillip. It just seems like a cold " Megan explained as she wiped her hands clean on a cloth.
"And the cuts?"
" Weren't that badly infected, just needed a little clean up that's all. It just seemed like she broke the skin while a force was on her shoulder."
I finally sank down into a chair, the majority of my worry gone. Some still remained but nevertheless, I knew she was going to be okay.
"You did the right thing Phillip. Bringing her here I mean." Megan assured, crouching down and taking my hand, giving me a small smile.
"I'm going to go check on her, feel free to go into the market place though. She won't be awake for a couple of hours."
Megan left the sitting room, leaving me alone with my thoughts and the residue of the crackling fire from the night before.
I could help myself but to think about Lizzy and her being here. The cuts most likely happened when she was on the trapeze but it still worried me, seeing her that weak. Unable to walk a few steps without being exhausted. The cough which echoed around the room. The sweat dripping off of her and she shivered.
It all made me worry. It all made me realise how I could lose her without evening knowing it. It made be realise how much I love her.
I didn't even realise, I had left the house before the barking sound of the carriages hitting rocks, people talking left ,right and centre. Navigating the streets until I eventually arrived. I knocked on their door without even thinking.
The wooden door swung open, a girl standing in front of me - the front of her hair twisted back.
"Phillip?" Anne asked in surprise before sticking her head out to see if Lizzy was there as well. "Is everything okay?" Her eyebrow raised just like Lizzy's did whenever she wanted to know the answer to something.
After attempting to catch my breath, I just replied in three words.
"I need your help."
To which Anne grabbed her scarf and headed out the door.

After being with Anne for around two hours, maybe two and a half, in the market place, we finally found what we needed. Well, what I needed.
I arrived back at the Blake's house, once I dropped Anne off at the circus, just in time for Megan to come in and tell me that Elizabeth had awoken. Quickly, I placed the item from the market place into a pocket on the inside of my coat before catching up with Megan.
Lizzy was sitting up right, the colour back in her face and there seemed to be no traces of sweat evident on her brow. Her eyes twinkling with her usual self once again.
"You should be fine to perform at the circus tonight, maybe just use your other arm though." Megan explained to both of us as she packed up her medical equipment.
"Thank you Megan, I don't know how I can thank you." I said, moving towards the bed to give Lizzy a hand walking. I am sure she is perfectly capable of walking by herself but any excuse for her to hold onto my arm, I will take.
"Come to the circus." Lizzy said, out of the blue, as I helped her up off the bed. Megan and I both looked at each other before looking at Lizzy. "We could always use a doctor there."
Megan kept her face neutral, no signs of a positive or negative expression depicting itself on her face. Then she smiled and hugged the both of us, before jumping back remembering that Lizzy had only just stood up from being ill.
"I would love to." She said, the grin never leaving her face.
AUTHORS NOTE (VERY IMPORANT!!!)
Hey guys,
Firstly sorry for the shorter chapter, the next chapter will be much longer ( roughly 200 words).
Secondly, I have been doing some thinking and I have decided that 'One Heart' will be finishing in a few more couples (I don't know how many to be exact but I am estimating around 7-10) . HOWEVER, I have decided that I will be doing a sequel to it about Phillip's and Lizzy's Lives after the movie ends AND I will be writing another 'The Greatest Showman' fanfic as well. I don't want to spoil it to much, but I am super excited to write it.
I am currently working on new titles, plot lines, trying to make half decent cover arts and descriptions. But I am hoping to maybe get both released by this coming weekend or the following (depending on homework of course)
So here is what I am thinking for an uploading schedule, once "One Heart" is completed and I begin to publish the other books.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday; "One Heart" sequel
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; The new "Greatest showman" fanfic
Sunday: Rest.
If I happen to miss a night due to homework; I will either skip that night or try to upload both books the next night.
QUESTIONS
. What do you think about this?
. Would you read the sequel?
. Would you read the other fanfic?
Let me know any thoughts, comments or queries.
Have a great night/ day
Maya
