Phillip's Pov

The snow was set heavily out here, the brick of the cottage barely showing through the thick layer of whiteness. Lizzy has ran inside, to see what her new home would look like.

The beige colour of the wall was slightly off putting however the colour itself would look more refined once we got some things in here, once we got some life inside. I finally caught up to Lizzy, finding her standing staring at the large oak bookcase, which illustrated a blank canvas for a library.

"It is beautiful." She exhale, extending her hand so it would slide across the top of the bookcase.

"Good thing there is one similar to this one in your room." I stated causally, watching her out of the corner of my eye, as she looked bewildered.

"I. Have. One. Of. These?" She said, one word at a time. "In my room?"

"Yes." I smiled, as I watched her excitement grow about ten times. She started to dance on the spot, like a small child would, conveying her excitement.  "Oh, I'm sorry did you want to see your room?" I asked, sarcastically and jokingly.

I took her to the room on the upstairs level, second from the left, pushing the door open. It was a fairly large room, very spacious, which opened up into the balcony which overlooked the front of the house. I had only put a couple of things in the room; a bed, desk/vanity, bookcase and in the corner of the room, was a small and thin piece of wire stretching from one edge of the room and finishing just before the closet entrance.

I almost laughed as Lizzy just stood there, her feet planted firmly into the ground. She only moved her sea green eyes around the room, studying everything in the room.

"This is all mine?" She said softly as she walked into the centre of the room.

"Mhmm."

She let out a small laugh of excitement before running over a hugging me.

"Thank you." She muttered quietly as she rested her head into my shoulder.

Lizzy asked if we could go back to the apartment so she could pick up her things, to which I, of course, agreed. I kind of got the impression that she could not wait to tell Anne since she talked about Anne for the whole trip back.

The truth was though, this was all Anne's idea to begin with. We had been talking for the last week or so about how Lizzy's nightmares are getting worse, even though she has been telling us they had been getting better.  We could all see that they weren't, she was growing more and more tired each coming day and hiding away from the world to focus on one thing. Anne also explained to me that she no longer seemed to be able to calm Lizzy down from anything, which made Lizzy panic even more than she was. Anne said that I was the only person she felt comfortable enough to be in that state around. So Anne thought that it would be best for Lizzy to have somewhere, away from everyone, where she could feel okay and hopefully the nightmares would start to decrease.

I didn't even notice that we had arrived at the apartment until the carriage rattled from Lizzy jumping out it. I followed behind her, walking quickly in an attempt to keep up with her. She burst threw the doors of the apartment, talking to Anne and W.D instantaneously about what had happened in the day.

Anne and W.D, who both began helping Lizzy pack up her things, listened intently despite already knowing all about the cottage. They were a bit sad to see Lizzy, who was almost like a sister to them, leave but they were also happy to see the joy and excitement it brought her.

"We will talk everyday." Lizzy assured Anne as I picked up her small bag,  the one had grown accustomed to.

Lizzy said her goodbyes, even though she would be seeing them tonight, and we headed out into the street. Lizzy mentioning that she wished to go into the market for a second.

I placed her suitcase in the carriage, before following her into a large crowd. Trying to decipher where she was going.

She pushed open a door of a store, the little bell chiming. I am surprised I didn't figure out where she was going before hand, I mean it is Lizzy. What is the only store in the entire market she is actually interested in?

The bookstore smelt of parchment and peppermint as I found Lizzy at the counter already, handing over money for a book in a brown paper bag.

We exited the bookstore, nearly colliding with a someone. I pulled Lizzy back, letting myself bump into the lady.

I glanced up to see who it was and to apologise before.

"Phillip Carlyle?" The voice asked.

"Megan Blake?" I asked in return, generally surprised.

"The one and only." She replied with a smile before giving me a small hug. "I thought I would never see you again after what happened with your parents!" She exclaimed.

"The same back to you as well." I stated. "Megan, this is Elizabeth Gray. Lizzy, Megan Blake - one of my oldest friends." I explained to Lizzy as she nodded her head - introducing herself to Megan.

"It is lovely to meet you Megan." Lizzy said.

"The same to you Elizabeth." Megan replied before looking up to the clock tower. "I have to run, however why not you and Elizabeth come over for dinner tonight? We would love to have you."

"We would love too." Lizzy said, answering for me, before Megan went on her way.

When we got back to the carriage, I sat down next to her, lacing my fingers with hers as I questioned what book she purchased from the book store.

"Well I thought that I have always read 'Romeo and Juliet' for hope and for the love in it, but nevertheless it was still a tragedy. So I thought that maybe I should read something with a happier ending, so last time I was in the book shop - I saw this one and it was a comedy, it was laughter." She explained as she pulled the book out of the bag.

I read the cursive title,' A Midsummer's nights dream'.

"Sounds like a great new book." I told her, to which she shook her head. Her brown hair falling onto her face even more so. She pushed the strands of hair out of her face before saying.

"Not a new book, a new chapter."
