I shrug my green and black jacket on, the material easily fitting over my form. I snatch my bow and quiver off the wall and secure them around my back before securing my sword on my waist. I teleport to the portal, meeting Cole there, and we step through together.

After walking around for a bit we stop in a clearing surrounded by trees. Cole takes his crossbow off his back, loading it with a bolt as I take my bow off and notch and arrow, taking aim at a tree. We each fire, the two arrows burrowing into the wood. "How's things between you and Nathan?" he asks casually, loading his crossbow again.

"Good. He's been amazing. With all this shit with Dad, it's been so good having him there, to just be around."

"You really love him, don't you?" Cole says gently.

"Yeah. I do," I tell him, looking at him with a happy smile, something so rare at the moment.

"That's good. I'm happy for you Jade."

"Thanks, Cole. You'll find your mate too," I tell him.

"Yeah. Not sure if I'm ready for that yet," he admits with a shrug of his shoulders, firing the next bolt, hitting the tree right in the middle of the trunk.

"Fair enough. I'm sure you'll find someone amazing."

I fire another arrow, hitting the tree right where I was aiming. "You're getting good with that crossbow," I comment.

"Practice makes perfect," he says, shrugging. "Anyway, I like having a long distance weapon. I can be the best damn sniper ever."

"Sorry mate, I've already got that title," I tease, smirking at him. "I'm basically Hawkeye."

"Then I'm Green Arrow," he replies cheekily.

"Clint's better."

"Nah ah!"

"Yuh huh!"

"You keep telling yourself that," he chuckles.

"Marvel easily rips DC!"

"I can't believe I'm related to you," he says shaking his head before he cracks a smile, shooting at another tree.

"At least Green Arrow uses a real bow," I mutter and I immediately feel his defiance flame up.

"You saying a crossbow isn't a real bow?"

"Nope," I reply, popping the 'p' as I shoot another tree.

We laugh at each other before shooting at all the trees, and once they're all full of arrows, we sit down in the clearing, the sun beating down on us. But my magic swirls at the feeling of water in the air, and I look up to see heavy looking clouds getting closer. It's going to rain soon.

We sit in that clearing for a while, just chatting until I feel the first raindrops starting. Before we know it, the clearing is cast into shadows, dark clouds blocking out the sun as the rain pours down on us, soaking us through our clothes. We start running back to the portal, tripping each other up as we go. I get Cole good, making him faceplant in some mud.

We eventually get to the portal, and we step through into the Nether, dripping wet and muddy, our weapons strapped to our backs, and both of us laughing hysterically. Tara walks past and sees the two of us looking like drowned rats, laughing at the sight before carrying on. We grab some towels and sit in the dining hall, drying ourselves off with hot chocolates sitting on the table.

Cole looks me dead in the eye before shaking his hair, droplets flying everywhere, muddy drops that get all over my face. "Cole!" I shriek and he laughs as he dries his hair off.
