The black voids connect with my own eyes, boring into my soul, causing my magic to squirm uncomfortably under the scrutiny. His hands tighten on the sword in his grip, magic winding around his hands and streaming up the blade.

"This is a new feeling," Stacy laughs, magic swirling in her own eyes. "All this power! It's exhilarating!"

"It's not yours! Let him go!" Gaby shrieks, a sudden fight fueling her bones, and she breaks free of Cole's loose grasp, sprinting across the clearing to get to Notch.

"Gaby, no!" Liam yells, obviously going to run after her, but Regina stops him, pressing herself further into his arms so that he can;t stand without taking her with him.

As Gaby gets closer, Notch's body turns towards her, sword raising and jaw tensing. She keeps running closer, seemingly not realizing that Notch is about to strike, but before anyone can warn her, he pounces, slashing at her and catching her on the side. She lets out a yelp but brings her short swords up and blocking his blade.

Stacy watches the fight from behind them, the witch's concentration not faltering. "We need to take her out and Notch should be free," I tell Nate over our link.

"Or if we're able to knock your dad out, it could work," he replies.

"She's going to guard him like a piece of diamond. And we don't know if just knocking him out would work, but at least we know if we take her out, she won't be able to control him."

Gaby finally gets a hit in after dodging many more from Notch, slicing him along his inner thigh. It doesn't get a reaction from the man, his focus staying on Gaby. Liam finally breaks free and attacks Notch as well, distracting him from one side as Gaby takes the other side. At that, everyone seems to break out of their stupor, rushing forward with one objective in mind; get Notch back to the Ather and stop Stacy.

Karn is now back on his feet and running over to where Liam is now on the ground and Gaby is desperately defending him. Nate takes to the sky again, looking for an opening in Stacy's defense, and Tara runs over to me. Cameron also seems hell bent on getting Notch back for Liam.

"You can make us invisible?" Tara asks quickly.

"Yes."

"We need to get to the portal and figure out how to get Notch back through it," she tells me, eyeing up the portal. "They may know how to do that."

"You okay?" I ask gently, my hand resting on her shoulder.

"Yeah, I'm just looking at my dead daughter that I never got to really meet and who I'm guessing are Karn's parents who I also never got to meet. No worries," she says, turning back to me. "But I'm gonna suck it up and finish this, because they shouldn't e dealing with this. By the sounds of it, all three of them have already faced enough pain and fear in their lives, they shouldn't have to be here."

"You sure?"

The sheer determination pouring off her could almost answer for her. "Yeah. Let's end this."

Magic covers both of us in the familiar blanket of invisibility and we walk towards the portal. Stacy has followed Notch further from the cliff edge, leaving the portal wide open and visible. Dad is being dragged along behind her. Everyone in the portal is arguing, with Sana holding back the blonde with a hand on her arm, but even the ocelot is whispering in the amber eyed woman's ear.

"Jay!" I exclaim as we get close enough to talk properly. Her head whips around, purple eyes searching for us. "Jay, it's Tara and I, we're invisible."
