"Okay, so we're going today, right?"

"Yeah, I've talked him up enough, he seems pretty open to it, so long as you're not an asshole."

"You think I'm an asshole?"

"No, I know you're an asshole."

He laughs at me, my head resting on his shoulder as we look out at the stars. "So, tomorrow, right?" he clarifies.

"I thought we were going tonight?"

"Well, I don't want to get him when he's cranky."

"He's always cranky."

"That doesn't help."

"Good, because this is nothing compared to how he'll make you sweat."

"You are really making me super confident here."

"You're welcome."

He chuckles slightly as he stands up, pulling me up with him and twirling me around in his arms. "Jade, it's only been two months, we don't have to rush anything."

"I know that, it's just, it'll be easier if you've met him and I can just take you to the Nether. You are kind of stuck with me forever, I don't think it really matters when we do this."

"Okay, so let's go now," he says.

"You are having very conflicting thoughts, you sure you're okay with this?" I ask.

"Yes, I'm just nervous."

"Well, keep a hold of my hand and everything will be okay," I promise, staring into those big green eyes of his.

"Okay, I trust you Jade." As we stare into each other's eyes I feel myself leaning in closer to him, his hands travelling down to the small of my back and my arms around his neck. I close my eyes, slowly, our magic intertwining. His lips brush against mine and he captures mine, slowly, lovingly.

He kisses me, fully and completely, holding me close to him, our lips moving in sync. We pull apart eventually, gazing into each other's eyes, a happiness buzzing from the both of us. "Let's go meet your dad," he whispers. I nod and smile up at him, hugging him to me as I teleport the two of us to the portal. He staggers a bit on landing but otherwise seems fine.

"Now, you are going to be thrown through that portal and probably straight into the wall. Dad will be able to sense you instantly, he can feel people going through the portal, so he will feel your unusual magic with mine, he will come instantly. I suggest you shift into something not as menacing and that I can hold onto."

"Okay, I can do that, don't want to piss him off, that would be a death wish," Nathan chuckles nervously, his anxiety filling the air. I give him a quick kiss on the cheek.

"You'll do fine," I promise. He nods to me and his magic encompasses him. In a flash, he transforms into a rabbit, pawing at my leg and I can't help but let out a little 'awwww'. Yet he still has those alluring green eyes, the one thing that doesn't change in all his forms. I scoop him off the ground, holding him against my chest, and walk through the portal.

I feel a tight grip on Nate, and he is pulled away from me, or at least almost pulled away from me, but I lock my arms around him, encasing him with my body. I stumble out of the portal, meeting Nathan's eyes, and before I can ask if he's okay, a flash of bright light distracts me, Dad stepping forward, magic swirling dangerously, his eyes glowing brightly as he gets ready to attack. But once he sees me holding a rabbit he calms down, confusion flowing off him.

"Hey, Jade. Uh- cute rabbit?" he says, his eyebrows knitting together as his magic reaches out to mine, hissing at Nathan's that he's desperately trying to pull into him.
