I could barely keep my hands from shaking.

Tonight was the big party! The one that could possibly change the way people look at me! For the better! It all mattered on how I acted and how I looked.

Because looks are always a must to society.

Homeroom has just finished and as I stepped out of the the classroom, everyone in the hallway was talking about Michael's party. Michael wasn't a FULL ON popular guy, but everyone knew him as the party planner because he always had great blowouts. Maybe because his parents were always out of town.

"Hi Cl-, uhm... Blair." He says to me.

"Oh... Uhmm hi there Thomas! Ready for tonight?" I ask him.

"Definitely!" He says as if he's trying not to giggle. His friends a few feet behind him snicker and whisper about something and I bet it was us.

It was quite shocking actually. People were surprised that he asked me, of all people to come with him. I mean, Thomas is THE most popular guy in school. He's a somebody. Me? I'm just a nobody. But in 24 hours, I just might climb the social ladder and stand next to Thomas!

I was walking towards my locker when suddenly, someone had pulled me into the Janitor's closet. I squirmed and screamed and tried to break free of the person' slight grasp but suddenly stopped when I heard a familiar voice.

"Shut up Blar! It's just me." Carter said.

"What the fuck Carter?" I snap.

"Sorry but I just have to tell you that you CANT go to that party tonight. Thomas is not a good guy Blair! He's a jerk."

"Christ Carter, you've gone mental! I'm late for Science!"

"Will you listen to me and trust me?"

"No!" I shouted. "If you're not going to apologize or explain for what happened at Starbucks then I have nothing more to say to you." I said walking out of the closet.

"Blair wait! I-"

"I am GOING to that party Carter. I'm sorry but I have to go." I said slamming the door behind me.

Who does this guy think he is? God.

Fortunately, I came just in time for Science to start. Even when we were discussing elements and atomic numbers and scientific notations, I just wanted to go home and party these problems away.

The day passed by pretty slow but soon enough, the final bell rang and I sprinted out of my last class to meet up with Beth and Jess. I told them about Carter and the Closet too.

"I swear to God that boy is really pushing my buttons right now." Beth said making a fist.

"Don't mind him anymore." I told her. "Tonight, we're going to party."

As soon as we stepped into my house, we ran up the stairs and each took a shower.

"I call dibs!" Jessica said as she closed the bathroom door.

After all of us showered, we picked our clothes.

"I think Blair should wear a dress." Jessica suggested.

"No. Way too accessible." Beth replied.

"Beth that's disgusting." I said looking through my closet.

"Disgusting but possible!" She shot at me.

She proceeded to my closet and looked around. It took her about 5 minutes to figure out which clothes I should wear but finally she made up her mind.

"This..." She said smiling to herself. "Is perfect for you." She handed me a white dress with a blue collar and black flats.

"Do you think Thomas will like it?"

"Yeah! Now quick, we only have an hour left to do your hair and makeup."

I styled my hair into a high bun and put on a light shade of red lipstick and topped it off with a soft shade of pink blush, liquid eye liner that I winged it upwards at the end and mascara.

Jessica was wearing jeans and a tank top that said 'free spirit' with a feather and paired that with flats as well while Bethany was wearing a black skater skirt with a white polo and black wedges.

I heard a car park in the drive way and someone knocking on the door.

"Guys! I think it's him!" I told them.

"Damn it! Okay we'll go out through the back door" Beth said.

We quickly put on the finishing touches on our faces and grabbed our purses. We ran down the stairs and I helped them get out.

"See you there!" Jessica shouted as they left.

I grabbed a sticky pad and scribbled a note to my parents saying id be going to a party and that I'd be back by midnight. I stuck it to the fridge and headed towards the front door. I straightened my dress and fixed my hair before opening the door.

"Hey." Thomas said as I shut the door behind me. He was dressed in skinny jeans and paired it with a blue polo and black vans.

"Hi." I replied shyly. "Sorry I took so long."

"Oh no problem. I know it isn't effortless to look so good." He winked at me and I blushed. We walked to his car and he opened the door and helped me get in. He sat in the driver' sweat and started the car.

"Ready?" He said putting both hands on the steering wheel.

"Mmhm." I nodded and we drove away.

We were almost at Michael's house when I felt my phone buzz. I quickly rummaged through my purse and finally found it.

"Hello?" I answered without checking the caller ID

"Blair where are you?" I heard a familiar voice call.

Great. Him.

"At home. Why?" I replied.

"You better not be with Thomas right now on the way to that blasted party."

"Jesus Christ Carter why are you so against me going?" I snapped.

"Because your going with Thomas! I'm telling you, that sly bastard has-" I hung up.

What girl would put up with some ass insulting their crush? Yeah. No one.

The car came to a halt and Carter faced me. "Is everything okay?" He asked.

"Just fine." I told him.

"Good." He got out of the car and walked to my door. He opened it and offered a hand. "Because we're already here."

I got out of the car and we walked towards the house that was raving with loud music and filled with people.

Who's ready to party?
