When I entered the house with all the groceries, just as Dylan had left, I realized that I had completely forgotten about the whole party fiasco. I dropped my grocery bags and headed back to the door.
Maybe he was still there, I thought.
I opened the door and jolted. Dylan was just about to knock.
"I thought you'd left." I said smiling.
"I did... But... Uhmm... I-... Uh... You forgot your tuna." He said shoving a can of tuna in front of me. We both erupted with laughter.
"Would you like to have lunch here?"
"Why not? What are we having?" He said stepping in.
"I was supposed to get some takeout at McDonalds but, pizza sound good?"
"When does it not?" He chuckled as he closed the door behind him.
He had helped me organize all the groceries in the kitchen just as the pizza arrived. I quickly thanked and payed the delivery guy and shut the door. I was absolutely starving, and the smell of the delicious pepperoni cheese pizza did not help. I carried the box to the living room where Dylan was waiting.
"Hello beautiful." He said standing up. I completely froze. He then, leaned in, as if he were about to kiss me, then took a huge sniff.
"What the hell?" I said sounding more pissed than intended.
"Smells like heaven." He said grabbing the box from my hands and placing it gently on the living room table, in front of the tv. "You think I was referring to you?" He laughed.
"Asshole." I muttered as I walked into the kitchen to get some coke.
"What did you say?" He shouted from the opposite room.
"I said you're an ASSHOLE!" I shouted back holding in my laugh. I poured the beverage in two glasses and carried them carefully to the living room.
"I'm giving you another chance to repeat what you said."
"I said you're an ASSHOLE." I shouted again in his face as he covered his nose.
"Ew your breath smells like an ass-hole." He said pretending to cough.
"Can we just eat our lunch in peace?" I asked and he nodded. "What movie do you wanna watch?"
"What about... 21 Jump Street?" I nodded and began scrolling through the CDs. I finally found the cd and put it in the DVD player and we began watching.
Probably an hour later, after Channing Tatum gets shot (I almost cried) I heard the telephone ring. I stood up and went to answer it.
"Thompson residence." I said.
"Blair?" I heard a voice of what may be Jessica.
"Hi there Jess. What's up?"
"How are you?" She asked. "Like... From last night. I just wanted to know."
"Oh I'm practically over it anyway." I said almost laughing.
"Really? How?"
"I-"
"BLAIR! IM GONNA FINISH THE COKE!" I heard Dylan shout from the living room as he cut me off.
"Sure!" I shouted back.
"Who was that?" Jessica asked as I got back on the phone.
"Oh that's my childhood friend Dylan." I said coolly.
"Oh okay. Anyway I called to ask if you wanted to come over?" She said.
"Can't Jess. Can't leave the house if I have a guest. Wanna come over instead?"
