The maid gave me a towel to wrap myself in as she was going to wash my clothes. The bath turned out to be almost the size of a swimming pool filled with hot steamy water that was clear as crystal in the sunlight from the high stained glass window. Please tell me it was deep enough to swim in. I was instructed to rinse and scrub before I got in so I walked over to the corner of the room and did as I was told. I didn't like the idea of being nude in such a large area but I was alone in what I was told was the private bath.
I waited till the maid left then jumped into the warm water which came up to my shoulders. I was about to swim around when I noticed the water changing color. When I looked down now all I could see was the water it was like I was invisible underneath the surface.
I swam in the water till I grew tired and then I retreated to one of the benches over at the side of the pool but still under the water. I leaned back and let out a sigh of content. I was in a water heaven but shadows danced under the windows. Rahn was not the one there though I watched with caution as the shadows danced then relaxed as it disappeared.
I wanted to stay in the warm water forever but the maid came back and I had to get out. On the way out though I felt something slide between my legs. "Snake!" I yelled seeing the little green reptile beneath the water. One part screamed to get out the other calm self said to catch the little worm. The latter won and I dived down to grab the snake. I had it in a death grip right around its throat.
"Speak or I break you so badly Clyde will regret ever sending you." I said. Yeah I know emotions and after that all it takes is a key to know what's inside one's head. Clyde had sent his familiar to spy on me but he wasn't going to get any information. "Well," I said squeezing the snakes head. When did I become so brave as to threaten a snake?
"My masster is not one to take threatsss." it hissed.
"Fine then go back to where you came from." I squeezed again and this time it went puff and disappeared. My fist closed and opened as I stood there shocked. What had I done? Did it or I do that? I looked to the maid who was looking at me with horror. Was I that scary?
"She can challenge a familiar," the maid said probably talking to herself. I get out and wrap a towel around myself. Sorry Victor I think I traumatized one of your maids. With soothing words I manage to finally calm her down enough to take me to my clothes. ##
I put my clean jeans and shirt back on and dismissed the shaken maid. I knew from her memories the way to the fitting room. Scary what I could do when I put my mind to it. I was hungry so I went to the kitchens first and grabbed some food. The chef was curious as to how much I could eat. Somehow it took only a few minutes for me to become best friends with the chef and his partner and they invited me to dinner with them anytime. I snuck off trying to make up for lost time and ran into Jerry. The guy was stunned at me being where I was without knowing the castle.
"Emily why are you here?" he was back to his expressionless face.
"Hungry." I shrugged. His emotions were still out of control but maybe that was how he planned to keep me from entering his mind. Rahn was upset when I saw his memories and I guess I wouldn't like it either if someone saw mine. It was like someone seeing you naked you didn't know how to react. The main emotion I felt though around Jerry was still angry. Unlike his brother who was emitting the feelings of being alone.
"You make incorrect impressions. Victor is only my half brother we share the same father but different mothers. He is older than me as well I think it was fifty years?" Jerry said still showing no emotion.
"How do you always seem to know what I'm thinking?" I asked with a slight smile.
"You kinda talk when you think and I can interpret lips pretty well."
