I panted while falling to my knees on the floor. My wounds could be healed later but I needed to keep my healing ability secret from the man dying on the floor. "I win."
"You were just the last one standing." Allen said trying to stop his insides from falling out of his stomach.
"Oh." I said falling back. So this was what it was like to be mortal, it hurt like all heck. "I should just kill you and move on." i raised my arm one last time and brought it down on his heart. He let one last breathe escape before dying at last.
I dropped the fang and let my own wounds heal so I could not lay in a pool of blood. "Better, much better." Death never came up after me so I started to think he blamed himself for all this then realized he might have gone back to Victor. I might have gone too far when I ordered him to live. Now it kept him from coming to my aid because I would probably kill him if I saw him at the moment.
"Come on." I said grunting as I stood up. I used my mind and searched for the door. Surprise, surprise, it was behind the chair. I slowly climbed the steps. I found the last door and before I made my entrance I decided to see the situation. Of course this meant black and white but there was audio.
Inside was a throne and behind that was a disc holding a blazing flame. one person sat in the chair and a female stood in front holding a strange device with several strands of leather attached to the end. Clyde stood to the side looking at the chained girl in front of the throne. Large colums stood on each side of the carpet holding a flame in the middle of their bulky form. The man spoke first. "You did well, Clyde."
"Thank you sire."
"Hand me the nine-tails." The girl handed them over with a bow and Bartholomew walked over to the chained princess. "How much do you know about pain?"
"More than you!" Amanda said defiantly.
He laughed. "Really because from my point of view it looks like that other girl has suffered a great deal more. In fact compared to her you have lived a pampered life of luxury."
"You don't understand my pain then!"
"Oh I do, trust in that dear." He hit her lightly with the weapon. She hissed but didn't scream. "For you have not lived the rough road you fat cat."
"At least I do not bury my pain in sin." She said smiling up at him. He hit her a little harder but not enough to break skin.
"Shall we begin then?" He raised it high above his head but stopped looking over at Clyde. "How about it, want to take over Clyde?"
"And take away your pleasure my lord?" Clyde responded obviously distressed about having been found out.
"There is no greater pleasure than watching you do punishments. Here." He handed Clyde the weapon and sat back in his throne a smile on his lips.
Clyde raised the nine-tails and brought it down hard on Amanda making her bleed. The king laughed and the girl beside him shifted her sight towards me who was on the other side of the door. Clyde's hand shook so badly that he dropped the nine-tails and fell to wrap his arms around Amanda. The king laughed and waved a hand. The girl moved to pick up the weapon never taking her eyes off me until she rose her arm to strike the two lovers on the floor. Over and over they cried never letting the other go until the girl dropped the nine-tails to pick up an iron from the fire behind the king.
I knew her as Nyla one of the kings daughters. Clyde stood protectively over Amanda but with a heavy blow from Nyla he fell to the floor unconscious. Amanda went to him but found an iron in her eye. The scream made me close my eyes and stand before the door. I, in a burst of rage, opened the doors and sent the fang flying into the king's leg. "That will be all the farther you go."
