I look at the tree with confusion.
There was a familiar scrawl on the bag.

WThat's Andrew, right? This bag is meant for me?
I wipe some sweat from my face, adjusting the shirt that I tied across my head.
The bag was easy to detatch from the tree.
Inside was a water bottle, some jerky, some fruit and some crackers.
I hadn't felt this full in a while.
The last thing in the bag was a piece of paper with lines drawn on it.
Andrea briefly showed me how to read one in Dales RV.
This was directions to Alexandria! I could try to follow them or stay here and hope that whoever hung the bag comes back.
Listening to Daryl hadn't done me any good so far so I decide to try and find my way back.
Aaron was checking the bags that he had tied up like he had done for the past week.
But today one of the bags was empty. Inside was a tooth.
It was horrifying but also a child's tooth. With Andrew losing teeth, there was a high probability that he was here.
A rustling sound from the trees makes Aaron raise his gun.
A head pokes out from the trees and Aaron sees that it's Andrew.
He's covered in mud and dirt, his shirt is wrapped around his head and his pants were gone leaving him in his boxers. His bare feet are wrapped around the tree branch.
"Aaron!" The boys voice was hoarse as he scurried down the tree. Now Aaron could see him properly.
He was stick thin, even more so than before. He was coated in guts up to his neck.
"You found me!" Andrew cried, throwing himself onto him. "I missed you!"
Aaron drops his gun, dropping to his knees as he presses Andrew to his body in a hug.
"I found you." He mumbled. He repeats the same mantra.
"Can we go home?" Andrew mumbled into Aarons shirt. "I wanna go home."
While hugging him, Aaron felt the gun in the waistband of his boxers.
But he was too happy to ask about it.
It was a ten mile hike to get back to Alexandria but Aaron brought the car.
Andrew cuddled up against Aaron the whole ride home. He looked a little taller and his hair was definitely longer, full of sticks and matted to his head.
Aaron pulls up to the gate and pokes his head out the window.
"He's back! I found him!" He yells.
