"Stupid, no good..." Andrew muttered as he cuts the leg off of a squirrel. "I have to live with Ma. If Deanna says other wise then I'll come back here."
Andrew was back over the wall, back inside the car that he had lived in for over a month.

But he was prepared this time. He had stolen a knife from the armory and filtched some food from the pantry.

With some matches and a change of clothes, Andrew was good.

The problem wasn't with Aaron and Andrew felt terrible leaving him behind but this was for Deanna.

If Deanna wanted a problem child, Andrew was make sure that she got one.

Bathing in a ravine wasn't a good idea, especially considering that he couldn't swim.

But Andrew wasn't thinking and when he hit a hole in the water, he went down with some rocks.

They trapped his foot, sucking the breath out of him.

Bubbles escape his mouth as he struggles to surface, foot stuck in the sunken hole.

Something bites his arm and Andrew thinks that this is how it ends.

But it then begins to pull him out of the water and Andrew becomes free.

He gasps for air as he breaks the surface and flails around, trying to get away.

He's then face to face with his savior.

It's a large dog, tall enough to reach his shoulders. It sits, bowing to him.

"T-thank you." Andrew thanks the dog, gently reaching his hand out and placing it on the dog's head.

The dog nudges him and Andrew realizes that this dog is a large dog, well fed and strong.

"Where is your owner?" Andrew questioned, coughing.

The dog doesn't reply.

"Do you have a collar?" Andrew reaches out, finding a small dog tag hanging under the long fur, attached to a thick red strip of cloth.

He discovers that there is a piece of wrinkled paper pinned to the dogs necklace. It was a little wet from the water but Andrew opens it anyway.

"T-to. W-ho f-fuh- finds him." Andrew starts to read. "He won-won't lee-leave my side."

Andrew briefly glances up at the dog. "If you fuh- find him, I am d-de-dead."

Andrew lets out a sigh and the dog, lays down.

"Take c-ca-care of him." Andrew finishes. "St-stan."

"Well, that's great but what's your name?" Andrew tosses the letter to the side, reaching forward to look at the necklace again. "T-an-ke. Tan-k. Tank. Tank?"

The dog perks up at his name, eyes trained on Andrew. "Hey Tank. My name is Andrew...."

"I'm talking to a dog."
