I am woken up by somebody knocking at my door. I don't replay, hoping whoever it is to go away, he doesn't. The door opens and I hear footsteps come closer. The footsteps are getting closer, they are right next to my bed now. Whoever it is, is now getting into bed next to me.

Then I smell them, Mich.

"Kara? Are you awake?" He whispers quietly. I can feel his hot breath on my ear. I mumble an answer and open one eye. I can see Mich sitting there with an innocent look on his face.

"What's up." I say with a groggy voice.

"Nothin'." He says. I take a deep breath before sitting up and turning to look at him.

"What's really up?" I ask.

"Well... Kara do you trust me?" He asks.

"Of course I do."

"Then what were you doing last night?" When he says that I hear a creek from outside the door. I turn my head to the door.

"Come on in Sokaku, I know you're there." I say louder.

The door opens and Sokaku steps into the room, I become incredibly aware of how I look. My hair has to be a mess, okay, just play it cool. Maybe, he won't notice.

"So you wanted to know that bad, that you made Mich come and ask me?" I say.

"How else am I supposed to get answers from you! You said you were going running and then you come back at 6 in the morning?!" He says.

"Fine! You want to know what I did? You want to know the big secret? There is none." I tell him, "I was out running, I told you already." I say calmly.

"I'm supposed to believe you were out there." He signals out the window to the woods. "Running for 8 hours!" He yells at me.

"I know it doesn't sound like the truth but it is. I had to becau-" Before I can explain myself Sokaku interrupts me.

"You had to?!" He yells. He turns around and starts punching the wall. His fists are leaving a mark on my wall.

"Stop it! Stop that!" Mich screams at him freaking out.

But Sokaku doesn't stop, he does the opposite. Mich wants to get up from the bed and run to him but I stop him with my arm. Sokaku is right now in a bad place. It surprises me that this, me leaving in the night and coming back early the next morning, is such a big deal compared with all the weird stuff that's happened recently.

Apparently it is.

I get out of bed and walk over to him, I stop one feet away from him. His hands are now covered in blood and there is a huge crack in my wall.

I put my right hand on his right shoulder, he throws a punch in my direction. I block his punch with my other hand, inches away from my face. I push him into the wall with the hand I had holding his fist. Letting go of his shoulder and fist I grab instead his shirt. His face is inches from mine because of this position we are now in.

Don't think about that in this situation!

He tries to break my hold on him but I just push him harder against the wall.

"Sokaku! Get a hold of yourself!" I say in his face. He is breaking eye contact so I push him harder against the wall, making him wince.

We stay like that for I while until finally looks like Sokaku isn't so angry anymore.

"Sorry for losing control." He says quietly. I let go of him.

"You should not lose control for such a small thing!" I respond angrily. He looks up at me.

"You think that you disappearing last night was a small thing?" He asks in disbelieve. With the help of the wall he pushes himself forward. He looks at me for an answer.

"Yes I do."

He attacks. With his left bloody fist directed at my face, I dodge to my right and with my both hands shove him to the ground. He lands face first. He stands up with unsteady legs, wiping his face from the blood coming from his nose.

"I was worried sick, waiting for you to come back!" He yells.

"Who said you had to worry! I was out running for crying out loud!" I yell back.

"You still think I believe such a dumb excuse!" He says harshly. He takes a step closer to me.

"Stop it!" Mich yells at us.

Mich saying that made snap out of the anger I'm in right now. Sokaku seems to have also snapped out of it.

"Sorry, I didn't want things to get like that." I say it to them both. Sokaku is breathing heavy and blood still dripped slowly from his nose. Sokaku walks pass me and into my bathroom.

I let myself drop next to Mich on the bed and sigh.

"Apologize." He says.

"Apologize? What for? He started it." I exclaime. With my hands I signal the bathroom door, meaning Sokaku.

"I don't care, it's still your fault." He crosses his arms over his chest.

The bathroom door opens and Sokaku steps out looking a lot cleaner, no more blood on his face or his hands.

"I'm sorry."

"It was my fault."

We both talk at the same time. Mich signals Sokaku to sit on the bed, which he did.

"I'm sorry, it's all my fault. I was selfish and careless for just leaving and making you worry." I say, not breaking eye contact with him.

"It was my fault, too. I pushed you and it was wrong of me. I got angry and took it out on you for that I am truly sorry." He says it with so much hurt that made my stomach twist.

"You took it out on the wall, too." I say with a smile.

He laughs, he hasn't laughed like that in a while, it made my heart jump like a puppy for a treat.

"I was out running." I say quietly after everybody quiet downed, "but it was because I had to. It has to do with my animal, and because of the full moon."

"Because of your animal?" Sokaku asks.

"My animal is a-"

I can't finish. A loud noise swallows completely my voice, it's like an explosion. I run to the window, Sokaku and Mich seconds behind.

It's not like an explosion, it is an explosion. A wave of flames surrounds the gray van. I can feel the heat crash against my body.

From the shadow of the house I can see Alex just standing there and staring at the burning van, it could have been completely normal and I wouldn't have thought much of it, if it wasn't for the smile he carried on his lips.

A shiver slips down my spine. Mich moves his head in the direction I am looking in.

"His just standing there, doing nothing." He says in disbelieve.

Sokaku takes a minute to see who we were talking about. His face goes blank shooting me out from his emotions.

"I don't trust them." I say quietly.

"Neither do I." Mich says.

"We have to be careful from now on." Sokaku says firmly.

Mich and I nod silently.
