Lele's POV

We pulled up to Jack's grandparent's house in silence. It was so awkward that I immediately got out of the car when he pulled to a stop. Before we went in, I said,

"Listen, I'm sorry for yelling. Can we just have a good day?" He smiled at me and replied with a "yes". I smiled back and we headed into the big home that liked as if someone giant had placed it carefully in the middle of a farm, sprinkling a few trees here and there.

I started to knock on the front door, but Jack quickly took my hand and pulled me away towards the garage, opening it and going through the unlocked door hidden behind a van. At first, all I heard was the sound of a faint television show, slight tapping that sound like someone cutting vegetables on a cutting board, and a squeaking sound that was a rocking chair, I figured out later as we entered the family room. Jack's grandfather, Clip, jumped up from his rocking chair as quickly as he could to come over and give us hugs, Jack's grandmother, Marla, joined in, pinching cheeks and kissing foreheads.

I didn't know them, but I  knew they were Jack's grandparents, which made me think, "I should be fine, they're not total strangers," but for some reason, I felt so uncomfortable in the house, like something dark loomed around, waiting to be heard.

"This isn't a horror movie, I need to calm down."

But it felt strange.

Third Person's POV

Lele sat on a the red living room chair, centered in the room. She felt Marla's eyes burning into the back of her neck. "So," Clip said, trying to lighten the mood. "I've heard so much about you. Whenever Jack boards over, he's ALWAYS blabbing about his girlfriend. Well, he says so much bout' ya, he barely spends a thing with his own grandparents!"

"Oh, I'm sorry..." Lele said, glancing at Jack who was blushing like crazy. Clip laughed for a minute. "You crack me up, girl."

Lele shifted uncomfortably, not feeling great about everyone staring at her. Jack grabbed the remote and started flipping through channels.

Stomp Stomp Stomp

A loud banging, or stomping, sound came from behind Lele. She immediately jerked around, tearing at a white door in which the sound seemed to be coming from.

Stomp Stomp Stomp

For another weird reason, she got a little scared. She wanted to get out of her seat and hide in the dark corner of the room, covering her ears and eyes as if concealing herself from reality. But she couldn't move. The door opened, and she couldn't believe it.

Amanda? Cerny?
