Lele's POV

I didn't know if I just broke up with Jack, but it seemed like it. I already knew about the Veronica thing, but I can't believe she was basically his recruit. He just wanted to get to me.

I needed to talk to Vera, even if it meant fighting my way into a conversation. She had answers. And we didn't necessarily hate each other, I just didn't have any special interest in her because she tried getting at Juanpa when we were still dating.

Juanpa's POV

I pushed Veronica off. No. She was the reason Lele broke up with me. "What's wrong?" she asked.

I tried speaking, but there was a bug lump in my throat. I just shook my head. "Leave." I said, pointing to the door.

She gave me a disgusted look. I brought my arm back down and started up the stairs. When I heard the door shut, I tried to think about the situation, but I was so tired, I passed out on my bed.

*Back to Lele*

I stood at Juanpa's door, racking up the courage to knock and ask if Veronica was recently here, or if he knew where she was or is. I took a deep breath and raised my hand, but the door jerked open.

A girl, with her head down, hadn't seen me and slammed the door behind her. She walked forward until she bumped into me. "Oh, I'm so sor—" I started, but there she was. "Oh... Lele." She said with a scowl on her face.

"Listen, I don't care that you dislike me, but I need answers." I said. She seemed so upset about whatever happened in Juanpa's house, she didn't hesitate to start.

"Fine. What's your first question?"

"What did you have to do with Jack?" I asked, getting myself into a comfortable standing position.

"He sent me over to Juanpa because I knew and wanted him back. He had the perfect opportunity. He said he'd pay if I got you to break up with him, yet, he never did."

I knew it. "Why though? We were friends." I asked solemnly.

She just gazed at me. I could see loss in her eyes. "I'm sorry, but I chose my old lover over an acquaintance." She pushed past me and walked off. I hesitated, but I walked up to Juanpa's door, and opened it.
