Juanpa's POV

I grabbed Jack by the collar and pulled him outside. "What did she mean that you were in that truck?" I snarled. He looked down a his feet. I hit him in the face and demanded the truth. "Listen, I feel guilty, but I fled!" He said. I glared. "I ran out and away before anyone saw me and hid behind a shed. I didn't want to go to jail."

I rolled my eyes. "Why didn't you stop the car?"

Jack didn't say anything. He didn't think I noticed, but I saw him turn his foot to the exit. He quickly turned around and started running to the door. I ran after him, but my efforts weren't enough. He escaped through the door and I ran into it.

I sat up called 911.

Xander's POV

"Lele don't go, stay awake for a little bit, please?" I asked her. She moved her head and her eyes were closed, but she managed a small "Okay."

"I... don't know if I'm going to recover," She whispered. I squeezed her hand. "Of course you are," I said, hoping that it was true. The nurse walked in and smiled at me. "I have some results," She said. I turned to face her, but didn't let go of Lele.

"There's good and bad," She said. "Just give the bad news to us first please," the man in the chair said. "One of her legs was broken as well, and she'll have to be using a wheelchair for the few months," She said.

I grimaced, but asked for the good news. "Her arm was not broken, it was dislocated, so we fixed that, but..." She stopped and squinted at her clipboard. My heart raced. "She will make a full recovery before october." "October?!" I almost yelled. "That's months away!"
