Luis's POV

u thought.

Lele's POV

I pulled Luis close to me as the scenes became more intense. My throat was dry and my hands were shaking. "I'll be right back," I said to Hannah, and gently set Luis in her lap.

Basically crawling to the kitchen, I got myself a glass of water and took a gulp, setting it on the table. My phone vibrated in my back pocket.

I took it into the bathroom, trying not to be suspicious. When I took my phone out, I immediately regretted it, because Juanpa himself decided to bring the split up again.

Juanpa

Juanpa- dónde están

Lele- It doesn't matter

Juanpa- I mean, yeah it does

Juanpa- We're not broken up yet

Lele- wth

Lele- Yes. yes we are. Your attitude ended it, now leave me alone

Hannah opened the door and leaned against the doorway. "Is is J?" She whispered and I slowly nodded. She came over to me and gave me a hug, taking my phone and peering at the chat. I buried my face into her sweatshirt, and cried.

She didn't give me my phone back, but instead put in her hoodie pocket. "You should go to sleep and get good rest," She suggested.

I tried to keep my composure and sniffed. "Sure," I said, my voice cracking. "I'll look for a new apartment close to this one tomorrow."

Hannah walked me to the guest bedroom and watched me as I climbed into the bed. "Goodnight, and thanks babe," I said and smiled at her. She grinned in reply, shutting the door behind her.

I could her voice in the living room and figured she told Twan what happened. Honestly, I hope she told him to talk to Juanpa about it. I sent my streaks and turned off the light.

As soon as I closed my eyes, I was out.

-

I awoke to the sound of a cricket chirping. It was coming from out side the window. I sat up and groggily rubbed the sleep from my eyes and shook my head. I threw my feet over the bed and walked into the bathroom.

After brushing my teeth and hair, I walked out into the kitchen to get something to eat. The glass I left on the table from the last night was gone and in the sink. It made me feel bad, so after I put an Eggo in the toaster, I washed the dishes quietly.

As I sat at the table with my two Eggos, Twan stumbled into the room with shaggy hair. He greeted me with a good morning and staggered to the fridge. Glancing at the sink, he turned to me and mouthed a thanks, grabbing milk.

I smiled in return and finished my breakfast, setting the plate in the sink. I didn't see Hannah until after I changed and applied a short about of makeup, telling her that I would be downstairs in the lobby and leaving.

I took my backpack with me, but nothing else. When I got off the elevator, there was a familiar woman in front of me. "Veronica?"

She looked up and gazed into my eyes. "Hi," she said and quickly got into the elevator. The doors shut, and I managed to give a little wave before she disappeared.

I shrugged it off and walked to the front desk, ringing the bell as there was nobody there. A lady with a stern look on her face walked out. She was messing with her short red hair and her small reading glasses slipped down her nose.

"Hello, how may I help you ma'am?" She asked in a serious tone. Somehow she reminded me of a depressed Sharon Osbourne. "I'm sorry to bother you this early, but I was actually wanting an apartment," I said.

She sat at her desk and looked at a few papers and then at her computer. When she didn't say anything for a while, I butted in saying, "Maybe on the sixth floor?"

She looked up at me and then down to her monitor again. "I can do that. Your options are Room 14, Room 6, and Room 29."

Hannah's apartment number was 24, so I took Room 29, and she gave me a stack of papers to sign and fill out.

This was going to be looooonnng.
