Lele's POV

I rubbed my forehead after that text. Jack needed to stop being so paranoid.

Then my stomach growled. Man, I was hungry.

I got off the bench and looked up at the signs above my head. Ooh, Fuljenzi's. I started walking to the door when I saw the closed sign.

My stomach rumbles again. Ugh.

I kept walking down the street. Signs popped up from all over the place, but all of the restaurants I favored were closed. Then, the majestical JIMMY JOHNS popped up.

And guess what? I was inside ordering two footlongs just in a few seconds. I definitely received a lot of stares while walking to a table. Hey, I wasn't the only one ordering a lifetime supply of food.

There was a girl with long brown hair ordering more sandwiches than me. She looked familiar.

Oh yeah, she was Logan's friends' friend. Sounds confusing, right? Her name was Aspen. I think... she was dating Jack, the band member of Why Don't We? I saw her kissing him at an anniversary party for them (reference to the story, "Love Comes //Jack Avery" by jjzdcwdw first and second book series).

She payed and took her sandwiches, turning around and taking a seat three tables away from me. I figuratively shoved the two sandwiches down my throat and went over to her. Sitting in a chair across from her, I introduced myself.

"Oh my gosh, Lele? I saw you at the party and on vine." she gushed. "Vine's dead." I said with a laugh. "Aspen... right?"

"Yep."

"You're Jack Avery's girlfriend, correct?"

She gazed off to the side for a second, catching herself and smiling back at me. "Actually, yes I am."

The minute was casual, but she suddenly looked at me with a suspicious face. "Do you know Ellie?"

"Ellie?" I asked her with a sideways look.

"Nevermind," She said, smiling again.

There was a silence for a while, and I felt awkward, so I asked her, "Are you eating those sandwiches yourself?"

She looked up and shook her head. "Bringing these for the band. Want to come with me and meet the boys?" I smiled, almost agreeing, but I knew I couldn't. She seemed so nice, and I didn't want to leave to go deal with Jack talk about boy drama.

That got me thinking. Was he really right for me?

"Sorry, no. I have plans with my boyfriend." I got up from my chair, waving, but she looked at me, wide-eyed. "You are dating Juanpa!!!"

Oh no, here we go.

She seemed like a big Zuripons fan, and I didn't know what to say, so my response came out something like this:

"Oh... yeah, yeppity yes. I am dating Wuh—Wuanp—someone... AND I'M TERRIBLY SORRY but I gotta go. Runnin' off into the jungle."

And I sped out.

Into the jungle? What the heck...

After leaving that awkward position with Aspen, I started to the park.
