Third Person's POV

Lele speed-walked to the closest park nearby; she would check if Jack was there. And he wasn't. So she went to the next park. And he was there. When he saw her, she came over and put both of his hands on her shoulders.

And Lele knew, it was time to do some explaining. They sat across from each other on a picnic table.

Lele started. "Why are you still piping about Juanpa."

"I know you weren't texting this Jake Paul on the road to my grandparents' house. I know you weren't going to meet him at a local restaurant to catch up. You lied."

"I lied because I knew if I told you the truth, you'd freak out like this. And look where you are."

"Tell me the truth. Is there something going on with you and Juanpa? We've been tangled in a situation involving him." Jack demanded.

Lele stared.

"Listen Jack, I am not a cheater. I thought you would trust me enough to understand that. I broke up with Juanpa because things were too difficult. Everything was completely fine before I met you, just until Juanpa's ex came along. I couldn't take it. Being in a relationship with Juanpa was emotionally challenging for me because of her. I needed time because of her. I ended things because of her. And I know thing."

She took a deep breath.

"Someone sent Veronica to do that. I already knew she'd be more than glad to get back at Juanpa. She had her ways, and the person behind this was responsible. They got there way. And you're a big suspect. Right after I broke up with Juanpa, you were the one who met me in the bar. You were the one who invited me out. You were the one who asked me to be your girlfriend." She paused, waiting for an answer.

Jack stay silent for a while. "I asked you because I loved you."

"You made it way too obvious." Lele said, shaking her head but keeping her eyes on Jack. "I've been taking so much time to think about it. After breaking up with Juanpa, I threw my things into my car. I rushed to the bar, crying. I ordered a drink, and after finishing it, I got up to use the restroom. You bumped into me. We talked for a while, but when I came back out of the restroom, you left a note with your number in it, asking me if I'd like to go to a sushi place. The only persons involved that knew I liked sushi was Veronica and Juanpa, and you were in sync with her. You made it way too obvious."

Jack looked down. "Do you remember now." Lele demanded.

No reply. "I am smarter than a preschooler." She said with exact dictation. She excused herself from the silence and left the park, not listening to anything that acknowledged her.

What a day...
