22| Chapter Twenty Two

My grip on Slade's hand tightened as we walked towards the entrance of the mall. Fury walked a few feet behind us, his eyes darting around. I could feel the eyes of the other shoppers on me.

“Relax baby,” Slade whispered in my ear.

I sucked in a deep breath trying to relax. After the talk in the living room, they had explained that we would be going shopping. It completely caught me off guard. We've been stuck at in that house for weeks and then suddenly they wanted to go out. Of course we didn't leave the house alone. We drove between two cars with at least five men inside. They all looked like normal people, but I had seem the weapons. Fury had explained that it was for safety reasons. They wanted to make sure that if something happened that they would have help. My mind trailed back to the conversation I had with Slade the night before. It confused me. Things had gotten heated between us but they had stopped. He had said that they wanted to have sex with me, so why did they stop?

“We need to talk about a few more things before we can have sex,” Fury said, suddenly next to me. I glanced up at him feeling the heat spread up my cheeks.

“Why are you reading my mind?”

He shrugged, then gave me a smirk. “I wanted to know what had you so lost in your thoughts.”

My attention snapped to Slade when he tugged on my hand. His eyes caught mine then moved to a shop in front of us. I stared at it, taking in all the expensive clothes. The twins wanted to buy me some more clothes before we traveled to the castle.

“Lexi?” I blinked. My eyes darted between them.

“Umm... can we go somewhere else instead?” I asked them softly.

“You don't have to worry about money princess. We want to do this for you. You can't walk around with sweatpants all the time. Beside we know you need some personal items.” Fury stroked my cheek as he spoke. “Allow us to care for you.”

“I'll pay you back,” I told them with determination.

Slade clenched his jaw but said nothing when Fury shook his head. I allowed them to lead me to all the different shops. They picked out some clothes while I did picked others. Thankfully they didn't follow me into the lingerie department. I chose some comfortable panties and a few sport bra's. My footsteps flattered as I passed the sexy panties and bra's. There was also some other lingerie I didn't know the names of.

“Can I help you ma'am?”

I jumped, spinning around to face the woman. She gave me a bright smile. I bit my lip as I glanced behind her at the men. They stood on the other side of the shop staring at something. They both wanted to have sex with me and although the thought still scared me, my body was ready for them.

“Uu, hi. I want to surprise my...uu... boyfriends with-” I gestured to the underwear.

“Okay, what do they like? What's their favorite colour?” She fired questions after the other.

I bit my lip, glancing at the twins again. Slade was staring at me with a smirk on his lips. He muttered something to his brother who turned. The colour in my cheeks deepened when he gave me a wink before turning around again. Was he reading my mind? Could they hear us talking? Oh God what was I doing? We aren't ready for that step yet.

“Miss?” the salesclerk questioned.

“Thank you for your help, I think I'll leave it for now. Thank you.” I hurried off before she could talk.

Gripping the undergarments to my chest I hurried towards the check-out. I dropped it by the pile of clothes I had chosen earlier. Not even a minute later the twins appeared at my side. The woman behind the counter started scanning the items before packing them neatly into a bag. Three bags later she gave a total which made my eyes widen. Fury didn't even blink an eye when he handed over his card. I grabbed two bags before Slade could take them all. He frowned down at me, but said nothing. I followed the guys out of the shop. My eyes fell on the groups of teenagers mingling around. There were more people here now than earlier when we arrived.
