No one stopped me as I ran at Nathan full speed and slammed into him. He took it to, he stood there and took it like a man until I backed up. Everyone stood there in shock just looking at me as I slowly backed up from Nathan and looked at him. His nose was bleeding and his eye was swollen and would surely be black by the next day. No one moved and no one said anything.

" What is you're plan and what are you doing?" I said, out of breath and with so much venom it could have killed him. He took a safety step back and I couldn't help but smile, which ended up looking like a sadistic killer looking at its next victim.

" Don't smile like that, you look like that thing," he said. I turned towards the group and they all took a step back. Most of them knew to leave me alone if I'm pissed but not once have any of them stepped away with fear in their eyes. None of them had ever looked at me with fear in their eyes like they did now. That knocked me back into reality and Cat put her hand on my shoulder and I could hear Austin gasp a little. He was always different from the others, I knew he could feel her here, maybe even see her. He looked at me with that question in his eyes and I nodded. That broke him out of it. There was no fear in him when he ran up to me and gave me a hug, and the second he hugged me I collapsed and just began crying. He lowered me to the ground and just sat there with me talking to me till I calmed down. I looked up and everyone else was still scared, they still were scared of me. I sighed and looked at him.

" Thank you," then I stood up and turned to Nathan

" Ok well do this again, what are you doing and what is you're plan because I'm assuming you have one since you got it to drop the barrier," he looked around before answering, but when he did it wasn't his voice, it was the one that he used when he spoke to the thing.

" I just wanted to turn them against you, and it seems to have worked. All except Sir Austin here," he said.

Pain was all I felt. Nathan was right, no one would come any closer to me, in reality, they had all moved further away and the guys had moved the girls behind them and formed a makeshift wall. Even Ryder wouldn't move, he was terrified of me. I looked at him and made a move to walk to him when everyone took a half step back. I stopped. Austin held my arm because I knew that he knew I was not going to be able to stand much longer. They all saw me now, they saw me and they are scared of me. Something inside me broke even more than it was. I pulled away from Austin and backed towards the tree line looking at everyone. They were all watching me, waiting to see what I'd do. I looked at Cat and she put her hand on Austin.

" I'll keep him here and I'll watch them. You go," she said. She was right I needed to be somewhere they can't see me. So I ran. I ran into the forest and found a tree just on the tree line that I could sit in and watch the group from. They could see me but I didn't care, I was away from them and they didn't have to be scared of me if I wasn't near them. Austin kept looking at me but I could see Cat whispering to him and so he turned to the group and started yelling something at them. Whatever it was caused a riot between them. Then they split. Some went and stood behind Austin and Ryder had become the ringleader of the other half of the group. Cat appeared next to me on the branch I was sitting on and sighed.

" They have divided. Austin tried convincing them you were still good and were protecting them but Ryder didn't believe it so they began fighting. The ones who believed Austin stood behind him and the ones who didn't stayed with Ryder." I looked over at the group.

Austin and Ryder were now butting heads and Ryder looked about ready to punch Austin and Austin was standing his ground. Camilla, Justyn, and James were behind Austin but everyone else was with Ryder. Lillian was with Ryder. She was scared of me, she thought I would hurt them. I couldn't stand that and so I jumped down and began walking over to them. As I did I saw Ryder's back foot shift a little and began running, there was going to be a fight and if anyone was going to get hurt it would be me. I got in front of Austin right as Ryder swung. He got me across the face and my head was spinning for a second before I centered again and took a stance. I stared Ryder down and he backed up, fear but also regret in his eyes. Lillian backed up and Austin, James, Camilla, and Justyn came to stand beside me with Cat behind me.

" Get out of here," Bennett stepped forward and next to Ryder, " It's your fault they are gone. It's your fault that Cat, Gavin, and Grace are gone. You're the reason they are dead," a hole, bigger than anything I could have imagined opened inside me and my vision blurred but I spoke.

" It is not my fault, I didn't kill them. This--this thing kills without mercy or conscience. It's a sociopath. I may have been violent towards Nathan but he had it coming, he sided with that thing and killed Grace. He killed Grace. I have been able to do nothing but watch this and watch as you all end up here and I can't do a damn thing because once you see what this thing can do," chains rattled in the back of my mind as images of Lillian, Justyn, and Ryder came to, " You would be more scared of it than me." and with that it appeared. It grabbed James and backed up. Austin, Camilla, and Justyn all turned and we pressed up to Ryder's group.

It didn't break his neck, it didn't make ribbons of his flesh but it did prick him. That pick that caused black to seep into the skin and rot it away. James screamed and it did this several more times, exposing his spinal cord. It was a straight shot all the way down his body.

" I'll be back by moon up and you must choose someone to die or I kill two," it was in my head again. I stumbled back a few steps and looked up. It was mid-day already. I looked back but it was gone and James was left on the ground.

" It is your fault, you are a monster," he yelled at me and Bennett ran over to help him stand and move him behind Ryder. I took a shaky breath. I caused a rift in the group and I didn't know how to fix it. It wanted to me to kill my family but I couldn't, even if half of them blamed me. With anger inside of me, I spoke.

" Well lucky for you I won't be around much longer. It told me to choose someone to die when it comes back at sunset and I've chosen," I turned towards Austin, " Keep them safe for me," he looked at me and I could see him fighting my choice.

" There's no way I could stop you is there,"I put my hand on his shoulder and chuckled.

" No, I'm sorry. You're all scared of me and I refuse to let any more of you go. It's ok though, hopefully, it's just a quick neck breaking, if no ti deserve whatever it is,"I said. He sighed and I gave him a hug. I then turned to Ryder.

" You wish is my command," I could feel my face swelling a bit and a tear roll down my face but I straightened my back and with one last glance at everyone I walked towards the tree line. I could hear someone's foot move toward me in the grass but stop. I continued walking till I got to the tree line and from there I waited. I'd watch them until sunset and then when it came, I'd go. Nathan came up beside me.

" Thank you," he said. I nodded.

" I know you'd never hurt Ryder, not like this. You're not doing it of your own will and I get that. Just make sure you keep an eye on them when I'm gone, at least as well as you can," he nodded and sat beside me. We watched as Austin and Ryder argued some more but not once did someone raise their fist again. Nathan and I sat there for a good while before I leaned my head back and fell asleep.
