Who knows how long went by. Hours? Days? Hell, years could have gone by and i probably wouldn't have noticed. I would feel rather than hear my friends trying to communicate. Asking if i was ok, telling me they were with me, telling me they loved me. All the while i never moved, i didn't even bother sitting up. I was semi-aware that the barrier had gone back up and that it was shaped around my still prone body. The creature came back in a few times, looking like it's normal self each time, and tried to talk to me, tried to get me to eat food or even blink but i simply stared blankly at the wall. It left everyone else alone, content to just let them watch as i broke. Then it all came crashing down on me. I tried to move, my muscles not working with me because i had been laying still for so long. With great effort i hauled myself into a sitting position and faced the barrier. I watched as Justyn talked to Lillian, they were trying to figure out how to get out of the chains. Ryder was staring at the barrier, as if he could burn a hole through it and break free and just run. After a few minutes i tapped the ground nine times. I love you. Justyns head snapped towards the barrier and Ryders eyes unclouded as he came into the present. Lillian looked back and forth at the boys.

" What the fuck is going on! Why are you all now staring like dogs?" she said Justyn explained what i had signaled and she sighed.

" We love you too." she said, then they all signaled four. I smiled slightly then asked if they were ok. They all signaled back yes, so i tapped the ground six times getting a laugh out of Justyn who then explained that a code of 6 means liar. Lillian and Ryder rolled their eyes but smiled. Then all hell broke loose. The creature walked in on their side of the room and stopped just in front of Lillian. I saw both Ryder and Justyn tense, knowing that had they been able to they would both have been throwing themselves out in front of her within a heartbeat. I struggled to stand, throwing myself at the barrier. The creature turned to face me, then chains pulled me down. I was attached at the wrists, with a collar around my neck and half a mask on, covering my mouth going up just under my eyes. It dropped the barrier, the shimmering wall fading away to connect the two halves of the room.

" That is much better. You're pretty mouth won't be doing any talking this time," thankfully it's voice was normal, but i was still chained and gagged. I looked at Justyn and yanked on my chains four times. I did that with all of them, looking each of them in the eyes and signaling that i was there with them, that they we're not alone. Lillian hit the wall nine times, but Justyn and Ryder we're both too focused on the creature to do anything.

Within seconds Lillian's bonds we're gone and she was moved right in front of me, just out of arm's reach. She was chained to the floor in the same places i was but didn't have a collar or gag. She knelt down, now on both her knees, and i followed here so i was eye level. She was shaking, her chains rattling and vibrating as she tried to tense everything up, to stop moving. I watched as the creature circled us, almost as if it we're admiring the situation. The creature stopped moving once it had circled us a few times, turning to face the guys on the wall. At that i started fighting against the chains, muffled screams emanating from behind my gag. Lillian tried to turn and look around but i flung my leg out and tapped her thigh, keeping her eyes on me. I locked eyes with her and tapped her thigh nine times. Her eyes began tearing up as she did the same to mine and we sat there like that. After i knew she wasn't going to turn around i looked back to see that the creature was within inches of Ryder's face. It had removed the collar and let it hang by his side. There was a raw band on his neck, it was an angry red color and now there was more blood pooling out of it now that the collar was no longer blocking most of its flow. Ryder took in a deep, shaky breath. The collar was most likely cutting off a lot of his breathing abilities if it was rubbing that badly. He was lucky he could talk, or make any sounds and if he did it was at a cost. His eyes, eyes that we're always bright blue and full of life, full of energy and wonder and love for a number of things, we're now dull and silent. They no longer spoke volumes about something, they no longer glittered like they use too. They we're dead, and there was no flame left behind them.
