When Dr. Valeria answered the door, she was excited to see us both. She didn't think that we would be able to make it out to see our parents as Re-Anne was in Summer classes. Dr. Valeria was packing up all of her things as she was preparing yet another year of being a professor. She looked very tired and pale, we both mentioned it to her. She told us it was just stress from the new school year.

We told Dr. Valeria about the date we picked for our wedding and she made a comment to Re-Anne, and I don't think Re-Anne liked this. Re-Anne wants to have our wedding in my birth month which I'm fine with. Her mother made a comment about being a June Bride. She explained why she picked May. They both disagreed and I could tell that Re-Anne was upset. I'm thinking her hormones are going crazy, but I'm not going to tell her that.

Re-Anne and Dr. Valeria were talking about Re-Anne's graduation and yet again they started to clash. I guess we are going to have to keep our time-limited if she is going to be this fussy around her mom. I don't know what has come over Re-Anne and why she is just angry. She even snipped at me for a bit. I just looked at Dr. Valeria like whoa. Re-Anne went upstairs and I left her up there so she could cool off. Maybe she was just being hormonal? I don't know but I don't want to get my head chewed off.

After Re-Anne cooled off for a bit she came back downstairs and apologized to her mother and to myself. She was just cranky. I asked her if she wanted to go for a drive. I had already had an idea of what I wanted and what Re-Anne would love. We drove to a new home construction site. We stopped by the model home to talk to the agent. They said that they could start breaking ground as soon as financing was approved.

Little did Re-Anne know that my dad and I were already in the process of finishing up the deal. We didn't need to have financing, one of the great things about my parents being loaded. At the site, we saw several homes already built. Re-Anne fell in love with the one we saw in the pictures, that one didn't have a model built yet. We were going to buy the house Re-Anne fell in love with.

The house that we were buying has four bedrooms 3.5 bath home in New Paltz, NY. New Paltz was only about 20-minute drive from our parent's home. It was far enough from our childhood homes but still very close to everyone.

The house was a two-story house that had hardwood floors throughout, a fireplace, a formal dining room with tray ceilings, a relaxing sitting room with coffered ceilings. It also had a den and or office whatever you want to make it. The kitchen had a center island with upgraded cabinetry, granite countertops, tiled backsplash. It also came with stainless steel appliances & a separate dinette area.

The master suite was on the second level which included a fireplace, with tray ceilings, and a walk-in closet. The bathroom had a private bath w/double vanity, tiled shower & Jacuzzi Tub. I was glad that it had a full basement and a two-car garage. It was a home that dreams were built on, and of course, it had a massive wrap-around porch. We couldn't have a home that didn't have a porch.

I told Re-Anne that my father and I were already in the process of buying this home. Re-Anne couldn't believe it, she had no clue and she got a little feisty on me. She had asked if I didn't like it what would we have done. I told her too bad this was going to be our first home. Thankfully she loved it.

Saturday night was here and our families decided to have dinner at a new restaurant that just opened up in Kingston. I nearly choked on my wine with Dr. Valeria congratulated us on becoming parents in front of everyone. I'm sure she figured it out, Dr. Valeria and Dr. Ryan were very smart. Re-Anne stood up and pulled her mother to the other side of the restaurant. You could tell they were having an intense conversation. I was watching them as my mother looked back at me and just sipped my wine. They then hugged and walked back to the table. I got up and hugged Re-Anne and I kissed her temple. We announced that we might be pregnant.

Our parents congratulated us but we told them that we didn't know for sure. We still had to go to the doctor's office to confirm. We took a home pregnancy test but we wanted to make sure we were.

Sunday morning, we started to pack up our things to go back to Providence for the next three months. I was outside loading the car when I made my way inside and I saw that Dr. Valeria was unconscious and my Military training kicked in. I took the phone away from Re-Anne and started to listen to the 911 operator's instructions. I started to proceed with CPR on Dr. Valeria.

When the paramedics arrived Dr. Valeria started to have a pulse again. When they took over I looked over to find
Re-Anne crying and staring at the wall in the dining room. I made my way to her and comforted her in my arms and told her that she was going to be ok. Dr. Ryan went with the paramedics to the hospital. We followed the ambulance to the hospital.

When we arrived at the hospital we went straight to the waiting room. We soon saw Dr. Ryan and he told us that
Dr. Valeria was in stable condition and that she was going to be A-Okay. Of course, Re-Anne was asking a billion questions. Dr. Ryan couldn't answer a lot of them but he reassured her that her mother was going to be ok. Dr. Ryan came up to me and gave me a big hug, he told me that I saved his wife's life. I told him that I did what anyone who has medical training would do.

We met with the doctor who was in charge of Dr. Valeria's health. He said that Dr. Valeria has Cardiomyopathy. There is no cure but that a lifestyle change is in order. She will need to retrain her body and her soul to live a healthy stress-free life. Dr. Callanen said that Dr. Valeria had to be on a 48-hour observation to make sure that she will be ok.

We then went into Dr. Valeria's room, she was lying there asleep hooked up to a lot of tubes and machines. It almost broke my heart seeing her like that. I can't even imagine how Re-Anne and Dr. Ryan are feeling. We stayed in her room for about an hour when Dr. Ryan gave me the look to take Re-Anne home. We left the hospital and I knew Re-Anne didn't want to talk about what happened so I just took her hand in mine.

We arrived at my parent's house and my parents embraced Re-Anne and gave her love and support. I took her upstairs to lay her down because I knew she had a traumatizing day. I knew she needed rest especially since she is pregnant. She is supposed to be resting and not stressing out over stuff she can't control. I took her upstairs to my bedroom so she can sleep. I held onto her until she fell asleep in my arms. I took a small nap too. It felt as if hours had passed when I heard Re-Anne scream "Daddy". I dropped what I was doing and ran upstairs as fast as I could. Two and three steps at a time. I took her into my arms and asked her "Re-Ann are you ok?" I moved her into my lap and cradled her and started to shush her so she can calm down. She was worried about her dad and wanted to know if he was ok, I reassured her that he was fine. I picked up some food for him a couple of hours ago. She wanted to get up and get dressed so she could go see her mom. She didn't know it was already 1:00 AM, So she was kind of disappointed that she couldn't go see her mother. I let her know that she needed to rest and that we could go see her in the morning. What she needed right now was to rest.

I fell asleep in the arms of my love but couldn't fully sleep because I was worried about the love of my life, my unborn child. I woke up early and went downstairs to see my father going over the drawings to our new house. We started to discuss the plans and where we were to have everything laid out. When we came up to the argument of having a porch. I told him no way we have to have a porch out of the question. We cannot take it out. I told him to "hold that thought old man", I need to go check on my future wife.

I walked upstairs to I saw that my Re-Anne was still sleeping peacefully. I slide back into bed and she rolled over and reached out for me and placed her head in my lap. I started to caress her head. She asked me why I was out of bed and I told her I was talking to my father about our house. She naturally woke up a little angry. She wanted to be involved in the house plans. Naturally, this will be her house our home. I reassured her that nothing she didn't want in it was going to be there and all the things she wanted will be.

I can never resist her lips, she kisses me like her soul is on fire. Our kisses lead from one thing to another and we made love on my bed. I made sure I was really gentle, as I didn't want to hurt our unborn child.
