Play the song!^ It's Implicit Demand For Proof by Twenty One Pilots.

It all started at three in the morning.
The Joseph house was dead silent; only sounds of the pitter patter of rain against the house.

Outside, you could hear crickets chirping and owls hooting. The sound of trees rattling in the wind.

One thing, though, was not usual. The sound of crying. The type of crying where you feel like you're dying. Your brain shuts down and you can't think straight. The type of cry that screams 'I've given up'

It's the one where you're screaming, "What else can you possibly take from me? Show me what else you can do, what you can throw at me.
Destroy me.

And this cry, this cry was coming from the bathroom. Josh woke up with a start, he didn't know what was going on.

Josh fortunately was able to sleep last night, but sadly, it wasn't a good sleep. He had a nightmare. His recurring nightmare; his car crash. He imagines it all over again. It's traumatizing.

However, this isn't about Josh. This is about the small fragile boy that is crying in the bathroom.

Josh slowly made his way to the bathroom door, he stopped right in front of it. He hesitantly outstretched his hand to try and grasp the doorknob. He doesn't like going through things, it hurts him mentally. He wants to still be as human as he used to be. Luckily, he felt the cool brass touch his warm light skin.

Josh pushed open the bathroom door. There sat Tyler on the toilet seat in his pajamas. His head was bowed down, his hair was in a cute mess; little tuffs of hair sticking out in random places.

Tears were pouring down his face and he was whispering to himself, but kept choking on sobs the entire time. He didn't even notice the door open on its own.

Furthermore, in the brunette's soft hand was a sharp razor. He held it right above his left wrist. He was hesitant. He repeatedly whispered to himself, "Just do it. It'll be okay." He inched closer to his skin, but before he could even press and slide, Josh, in one quick motion, grasped it and threw it across the bathroom.

Tyler blinked in shock and confusion as he stared at the razor that now lay on the bathroom floor. The gears in his head slowly started turning as he wondered about what just happened.

"Don't take your life away, please. You're important to so many people, including me." Josh stated. Tyler heard him loud and clear.

"Y-You're real. You saved me, you want to help." Tyler states remarkably. Tyler couldn't comprehend everything and exactly how he felt. He couldn't believe it.

For once, Tyler was hopeful. Tyler felt he was needed. He felt happy to be alive. For once, Tyler felt he had a purpose.
