Saphira’s POV
I stood outside the hall just out of sight of everyone gathered in the seating area in the main room. I was decked out in my wedding dress with red leggings and heeled Rohan crafted boots. My elven belt that Aragon returned to me was hanging from my waist and I wore Eowyn’s wedding gift too me around my neck; a handcrafted necklace. It was decorated with diamonds and set in thin red metal as it sparkled in the light of the torches in the hall. I turned to Eowyn and Lona, both who were decked in fiery outfits that I designed to replace their everyday clothes last minute. I actually cheated and used my powers to sew extra fast to get them done, and the girls just did their hair and accessories by themselves. They were matching on everything except for the necklace color, their crowns, and their ears.
Lona wore a thin headband of pearls and Eowyn wore a silver wolf crown in honor of being the next heir to the princess of the white wolves. Both wore thin gold encrusted chest plates and I added a little orange flair to their outfits to make them appear like they were glowing as they walked in in front of me. I was so proud of them; they were there for me when no one else was. I fidgeted with my Evenstar necklace that swung in full view of everyone present. I stared at the wall before turning to the girls.
“Thanks guys, I never would be here now if it weren’t for you guys helping me.” I stated and Eowyn brushed a stray piece of hair out of my face before looking out into the room and then pulling Lona forward.
“We will always be here for you sister.” Eowyn stated, and she and Lona left me to wait as they started their walk down the isle as elven music began to play. This was it, my life, as a married woman would begin soon.
Eomer’s POV
I nervously stood in front of the priest as Lona and Eowyn entered holding roses and throwing them out to the audience. My gaze slid over all the faces present, Aragon’s smiling face and Gandalf’s knowing one. The hobbits fidgeted nervously in the front row as if they didn’t know what to do and for a second I couldn’t blame them. They were amongst the royal and man; they had every right to be confused and nervous. I looked out at the White Wolf Queen who sat on her haunches beside the priest, looking very regal with her sparkling pelt shining in the candlelight. On her head she wore the crown that showed her as Queen of the White Wolves, and she gave me what I thought was a smile as Eowyn and Lona took their places beside her. They smiled at me and Lona flashed me a thumbs up before my eyes wandered up the isle and landed on Saphira for the first time in days.
I felt my mouth fall open in shock as I stared at her. Saphira’s hair was a fiery red color at the top but near the middle it merged into orange and finally white at the tips. And the most shocking part was that she no longer had short hair, and it was all let down splaying over the floor behind her as she started up the isle walking as if she were flying instead. Her hands were gloved but a gold ring shone on her finger and her elven belt glittered as it rested on her hips making her curves look more defined than ever. Saphira’s stray hair was tied into a little tail with the gold band she always wore and her necklace was covering most of her chest, its gems sparkling this way and that as she moved. I didn’t recognize the other pendant that she wore around her neck, but it looked like a flower that was constantly glowing as she made her way towards me.
I stared at her dress, letting my gaze linger on the design and I marveled at how beautifully simple it was. No overcomplicated patterns or anything really flashy, just a mix of her power combined with elven flowers that dotted her long train. On top of her head she wore the golden crown that the Queen of the White Wolves wore, and she looked at me nervously before coming to a halt beside me. We joined hands, and looked to the priest to seal our fates.
Thranduil’s POV
I let Princess Vanya take a leave to visit her parents in the kingdom of Lorien whilst I left Legolas in charge of Mirkwood. I had found out recently that a certain princess was getting married today, and I needed to make sure that this was certain. As long as someone took her Legolas wouldn’t be able to make any attempt to get to her, and I needn’t tell him anything. I made my way down to the hidden caves of Mirkwood and called upon my ancestors to bless me with a vision of Princess Draugathiel Maetharanel on her wedding day.Vision: Saphira was joining hands with Eomer of Rohan in front of a priest who was blessing them with a life full of happiness.
“Do you, Princess Draugathiel Maetharanel take Eomer of Rohan to be your lawfully bound husband until death do you part?”
Saphira looked up at him and a flash of uncertainty went across her face before she responded, “I do.”
The priest turned to Eomer and spoke, “And do you, Eomer of Rohan, take Princess Draugathiel Maetharanel to be your lawfully bonded wife until the end of your days?”
Eomer didn’t need to be told twice and the certainty in his face said it all as he responded promptly, “I do.”
The priest blessed them and then held up his book and announced, “You may now kiss the bride.” End Vision.
I watched until they kissed before I ended the vision. So it was true. The two did get married today, and now Saphira was officially off of my worries list. She was now married to Eomer of Rohan, and as I walked back to my palace’s gates I smiled, fully aware that there was no way that Legolas would ever find out she wasn’t his anymore.
