Legolas turned just in time to see my blade pierce his father's crown to the wall behind him. I had just barely missed King Thranduil's actual head.
"Ada..." Legolas leapt off the bed and shielded me away from his father's gaze as I rushed to slide my top back on.
"Lonneg." [My son (in a disappointed manner)]He addressed Legolas coldly before yanking my dagger out of the wall and his crown before striding into the room.
"I was not aware that anything was going on between you and this filth all this time." He stated coldly eyeing Legolas's topless ness and trying to get him out of the way.
"Ada, it was not what it looked like." Legolas lied smoothly but I doubt he would get far with that lie because Thranduil obviously saw a lot. Stupid elf skills.
"There is no need to hide this from me, I have seen quite enough." Thranduil interrupted coldly. I peeked out from behind Legolas as I was now fully dressed and eyed the window behind me. If Legolas was standing in front of me still I could slip out of the window unnoticed with the angle I was at. I crept away from the father son argument, but I was stopped when I saw a white wolf on the outside of the window, it was a guard. He eyed me wearily and I connected mindsets with him before communicating with him.
What are you doing here?
I found your scent trail. The queen sent me to protect you. She said not to interfere unless Thranduil leaves with you or there is evidence of battle.
How long have you been standing there?
I crept up when Thranduil arrived. I had trouble sneaking past his moose mount but now I am here, waiting for your extraction.
Remind me to promote you if I make it out of here alive and with my dignity intact.
I could not think of another way to express my gratitude milady.
Thank you guard.
"Your white wolf intimate friend behind you seems quite embarrassed to be caught like this," Thranduil continued, unaware of the hidden presence that now lingered outside the window, "I wonder if she knows of how many marriage vows both she and you Legolas have broken being here today."
"Shut up Thranduil." I hissed as I stepped out from behind Legolas and glaring up at him even though I was literally up to his chest only. He glared down at me and I heard Legolas choke back a slight laugh before pretending to look at the ground.
"You don't know when to shut up do you white wolf filth." Thranduil spat at me, now circling me like I would do to my prey when I hunted.
"Don't call her that." Legolas interjected, and he forced himself between Thranduil and me before putting an arm behind him and keeping me close as his father advanced menacingly.
"Son, you are married. And so is she." He stated and pointed an accusing finger at me, but I just rolled my eyes and stuck my tongue out childishly at him.
"I'm not married, na na na na na!" I laughed at his rage contorted face, and I'm sure Legolas faced palmed at how immature I was being.
"You...it's not possible..." Thranduil tried to find a good enough comeback for this but at the same time, he suddenly had his hand on his blade and was already itching to kill me.
"Ada, do not fight. I love her, can't you see that?" Legolas was nearly begging now, and he was both unarmed and unaware of what Thranduil was really aiming to do. Why couldn't he see that his daddy dearest was trying to kill me?
