Jeongyeon's POV

"Hey, are you excited?" Momo asked

We're seatmates and best friends. The professor is running a bit late so it's okay to have a little chat.

"Excited? For what?" I asked her

"For the auction later!" She answered excitedly but at the same time, nervous. "Dahyun is gonna be there and I'll be the one to buy her! For sure!"

I nodded as I understood her.

The auctioning of girls will happen later. It's an event of our school that happens once a year.

"How about you?" She asked and smirked. "I heard that your chilhood best friend will be there too."

Childhood best friend...?!

I looked at her with squinted eyes. "You're not talking about Nayeon, are you?"

And she laughed her ass off, she almost teared up.

"What's with that reaction? And duh, of course I'm talking about Nayeon." She answered, still laughing

"But I thought they only choose girls who are popular? Nayeon is not popular." I said, a little puzzled

"What?! Hahaha! Nayeon is very popular!" She shouted at me

My eyebrows furrowed. She's popular? Why didn't I know?

"Dude, do you live in a cave or something?" She asked me kiddingly and I just gave her a death stare. "But seriously though, when was the last time you talked to other people? Excluding me and your family."

I didn't answer her and the professor came.

"Come on! Let's go to the auction already!"

Momo grabbed me and we ran to the auction as soon as the class ended.

"Wow, there are a lot of students here." I commented

The quadrangle was packed with students and on the stage, there 10 girls standing, if I counted correctly.

"Ladies and gentlemen, let me present you our first girl... She may look like a squirrel but that what makes her cute. But don't let her cuteness get to you, because she can be sexy and hot too! Our first girl is... Minatozaki Sana!" Jihyo said at the mic and Sana walked at the center of the stage. She looked at everyone and waved with a smile. "Now let's start the bidding!"

"500 won!"

"550 won!"

"600 won!"

Wow, she sure is popular.

"1000 won!" A familiar voice shouted

I looked at the person who shouted... I knew it, it's Tzuyu.

"And Minatozaki Sana is sold for 1000 won!" Jihyo shouted at the mic as Sana went to Tzuyu and then they both left

"So that's how it works?" I asked Momo because it's my first time attending this auction event of our school

"Yep, you buy the girl and she's yours for an hour. AND she can't complain about anything." Momo answered

"And the next one is... Her skin is whiter than your teeth, she's known for being cute and being lively... Kim Dahyun!" Jihyo introduced Dahyun as the younger one walk to the center

I covered my ears as Momo yells. Geez, she's crazy for Dahyun.

"Let's start the bidding!"

"500 won!"
