P.S. - I know I am not supposed to write, but I have been stocked up in my room for three days, studying continuously for today's exam and I need refreshment. I need to see I can live and forget everything before starting again. Accounts, phew, here I come.

All the best to everyone!

"So this is Ria," I stated, settling on the bed and stared at the sleeping baby girl. "Wow. She's really small." Dhruv and Rahul chuckled. "I feel old."

"True that," Rahul volunteered, grazing his knuckles along her small cheek. "I consider myself as a child."

"Don't do that," Dhruv whined, slapping Rahul's hand from his daughter's cheeks. "I get I'm too young to be a father."

Damn young, but I kept my words to myself and peered at the small fingers curled around my index finger. I had reached Delhi an hour ago, and instead of going home, I had guided the driver to take me to Dhruv's new apartment.

Peering around his room, I sighed audibly.

Dhruv. All alone here.

"How was your meet?" Dhruv enquired, shifting in his seat.

"Good." If kissing your ex-boyfriend in front of others could be considered good. If thinking about giving him another chance could be considered good. If being foolish could be considered good.

Rahul arched his brows in suspicion. "How was meeting Kabir?" Dhruv slapped his hand on her shoulder. "What?" Rahul scowled. "They still love each other. You're dying to ask that question."

"Fine," I replied curtly, keeping the details of the emotional rush within me. "Does she sleep a lot?" I skidded to look at her again. "She's cute."

"She cries a lot," Rahul added. "Kabir had spent an hour to make her sleep."

"Oh, he met her?" I asked in surprise. I thought he had come directly to Bangalore.

Dhruv nodded with a smile. "He helped me." His gaze met mine. "He was the one who convinced me to not give her away."

He would do that. He would definitely do that.

Without saying anything, I tried to take my finger from her fingers, but all she did was tighten her grip and fluttered her eyes open. Her small eyes settled on mine and she said nothing for few minutes, but then she started crying.

"Shit!" Dhruv glared at me for the curse. "Sorry," I replied meekly. "I'm not used to hang around babies." Placing my hand on her body, I lifted her and swayed her back and forth lightly to stop her cries. Within minutes, she was silent and kept on staring at me eerily.

What was she trying to see?

Lifting her hand, she placed it against my cheek and giggled.

"Wow," I mumbled.

"I should say wow," Dhruv interrupted. "She isn't good with strangers." I grinned down at her and placed her back on the bed, but before, I could gather what she was doing, her small hands were on my arms, brushing and feeling the small raised lines covering till the elbows.

I forgot to change my shirt.

"Alina!" My cousin, Jeevika, shouted. Raising my eyes from the book, I stared at her in confusion. She was my bhua's daughter and had come to visit us today. Why had I done? Why was she screaming?
