"A hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people."

Semmy Carson

The bright sun peeked through the clear windows, making me squint my eyes as I slowly woke up from it. I slowly rubbed my eyes and raked a hand through my blonde curls.

I turned around just to see the best thing that I've ever seen in this entire world: River sleeping like a handsome king. He was laying on his stomach with his arm right under his chin as his head was slightly turned to the right so he was facing me.

His shiny eyes were closed and his long dark eyelashes were tickling his cheeks. His messy brown hair fell over his face and there was a small smile plastered over his face yet you could still notice the dark heavy bags underneath his eyes, probably because of what happened.

I could stare at this breathtaking view for days.

The urge to just reach out to his hair and softly play with the strands became so big, but not long after that, River started to wake up.

"Hey.." I automatically smiled at my best friend, come on who couldn't smile when he looked so adorable like that.

Last night when we arrived at my house, I grabbed a kingsize bucket of ice cream for the both of us and we've been watching 21 Jumpstreet so River could cheer up. I mostly put comedy movies on while we were eating all the unhealthy food in the world, until we ended up falling asleep. This was our usual ritual when one of us was feeling down.

It did seem to help him and it even almost looked like Lucy didn't effect him as much as you think she would have. I mean yes, he was sad for a moment, but not long during our men's night he already turned back into the old River.

As if Lucy didn't mean that much to him anymore.

Weren't you supposed to cry your eyes out as you felt like everyone was against you whilst your whole universe crumbled down in the ashes of your lost happiness?

"Hey Sem.." He grumbled low under his breath and had me to swooning over him with his sexy morning voice.

But when I have a morning voice I just sound like a dying giraffe.

"Hung over?" I laughed soft.

"Oh shut up.." He snorted and burried his head within the pillows.

"You're really a dork" I laughed and crawled close to his side to hug him for a second.

But he was my dork.

"Oh you love me" I heard River smirk and when I was about to break our hug, he took me by surprise.

He wrapped him arms around my waist and pulled me right back to his chest. My eyes widened in advance, because I was this close to him and let me tell you this:

I felt like I was on cloud nine! CAN YOU HEAR THE FANBOY IN ME SCREAM?!

"Hey don't leave! I have a broken heart, so you should cuddle me" River mumbled and buried his head in my neck.

My heart stammered so loudly against my chest. I was afraid that he even heard it. He was making me nervous and I tried to keep my calm while I mentally celebrated how I just lost my hug-River-up-close-virginity.

"You didn't say that last night when you were laughing over how Schmidt and Jenko were tripping on drugs" I smiled at the thought of how loud and pure he laughed at that scene.

It was like music to my ears.

River laughed soft and just continued hugging me, making me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
