Hi, this is Beat! And in this special Chapter I am going to explain how Dreamland works in terms of levels, skill points, status points. Also works for monsters but is a bit different in some cases.

At level 1 you have two status points and one skill point. And after leveling you gain  2 status points more and another skill point! The first skill point is usually used to unlock the first skills of a character that does not have starter skills but if you have one with starter skills you keep it. Still you can’t see the first ones until you finish the tutorial (thing that few players do not do or do not have the chance, so it may be that many players have 2 stats points and one skill point not used because of that)
So how can we know how many status points we have to spend and how many skill points we have to spend?
Number of status points: Level of the character*2
Number of skill points: Level of the character.

In monsters go exactly the same. But with minimal changes in some cases. There are 4 situations where the formulae told before does not work exactly like expected.
1-Boss monsters: They have basic status (or starter status) that change the HP that they obtain or any kind of extra damage or something that increases what they should have. There are cases like Scalia.
2-Randomizing Events: You surely heard from Protocol that the Randomizing Roulette causes some changes in players and/or monsters. An Randomized Monster will be stronger or weaker but if you find it and defeat it, you will get special items. Also happens that players gain extra starter skill points or stats with the Roulette.
3-Passives: Some monsters (and few players) gain special passives that can increase their powers and make them stronger than usual! We have the situation of Zenit and many others.
4-Training: You heard it. Some monsters may have been trained by a GM or a developer. We heard of a case already. But even a normal player could cause that.

Now we talk of more interesting things. Mana items!

These items are already talked by Protocol0346. If you want to know the basics, go to Sea Wolf story.
But the thing is that to make items that work with magic is easier than you think. You have to use mana crystals to give them energy. You can connect one of those to a flintlock gun and you have a mana gun, also works with armors but you need to make sure that the item works.

You want to prepare a weapon connected to a ship? A trap? You need a mana loop. How I do one? Not that easy. You have to connect two things that do not have mana! Then, you can do it of three ways.
1-Make a mana core and connect the two items to it but do not do it only one way. Make it two way, one for the mana core to the items and another for the items to the mana core. This way overheats easily and causes a cooldown time. Example: Death Ray of Oboro flying ship.
2-Make a mana crystal connect with a two way path to one item to another. This way is a bit handful. Think that you have to do one mana wire to connect the items one way for the mana to go to the items and another to return the mana. But also you have to connect the mana core with the two cables for being able to start the system passing the first shot of mana.
3- The user touches the system, gives it mana and it does a run activating the machine. An example would be a defense system that would have to be stepped to be activated, like a barrier pad or a wall pad. Also works for traps.

What happens if you mess up with this? Many things.
One could be that the mana becomes corrupt. What will happen with corrupted mana? It will do a miasma that if it is inhaled will cause corruption ailment which will make that your body starts festering and if you do not treat it, you will die. And we do not want to lose exp for a little bad work.
Another is that the system will overheat and will explode. It can kill you. It is only a possibility.
And a lot of things like this. The best thing that could happen would be that your machine overheats quickly and the cables burn. When that happens, the machine will stop because it won't have mana.

I hope that you like this chapter and that it is helpful for the ones that make side stories of Dreamland! I will work on making a chat for side story makers when I have a lot more of time. I go a bit busy to check group chat opportunities that are safe.

Have a nice day!
