Chapter Twenty Nine: Syura VS Wave

Back in the Palace, Wave and Syura are standing off with their murderous intents radiating from their bodies. "How dare you cross me and ruin my fun!? That's a capital offense!! What execution would you prefer!?! Boiled alive? Cut down like the DOG you are!? Roasted alive in the name of your friend Bols perhaps? Or maybe drawn and quartered? Maybe buried alive..? Or do you want the whole works?", Syura shouts in a crazed sadistic tone. Wave ignores his threats and draws Grand Chariot's key while saying, "Just how many people did you kill on whims like that..? All of you in Wild Hunt, I can not forgive what you've done to this city... I won't forgive you!!" "Wave, you can't use that here or-", Kurome begins to say before they hear a thunderous voice shout, "Stop right there!!!" From across the nearby courtyard, General Budo starts marching his way over to them, each step he takes creating a small shockwave from his mere presence. "Is this murderous intent I sense? Fools, do you intend to go on a rampage inside this Palace I guard? I will allow no such thing. If you use your weapons here, I will execute you on the spot, no questions asked, using my Imperial Arm: Adramelech.", he says as he marches over to them and crosses his arms. His body seems to radiate with power as a purplish aura radiates from his body. "Such overwhelming pressure...So this is General Budo..!", Wave thinks to himself as Budo's intimidating aura engulfs them both. "What a pest... Should I use Shambhala to switch locations? Wait, I think I got an idea...", Syura thinks to himself before getting an evil grin on his face. "No, no, General. We've just reached a point where neither of us can back off as men, you understand, right? So how about this, a fist fight? This way, we don't wreck the place. No grudges, regardless of who wins or loses! You soldier guys do this sort of stuff all the time in the military too, right?", Syura suggests with a grin on his face. "Ah, a brawl? I'm already looking forward to it!", a man says from out of nowhere. Suddenly, Honest's loyal guard appears almost out of thin air between Wave and Syura. "I'm glad you showed up when you did, General. I'm not sure if I could've stopped such a brawl without spilling any blood. I don't think I would've been able to hold myself back.", the man says with a twisted grin on his face. "You wasted my time then, Jasper? I'll be sure to deal with you when the time comes, but for now. What do you say, boy?", Budo says in a slightly irritated tone before turning to Wave. "If I can beat this punk at his own game, that'd be prefect!!", Wave thinks to himself before sheathing Grand Chariot's key and saying, "Yeah, let's settle this with just our fists then." "Then we'll show you to the courtyard. Would you mind being the judge, General? If you do, I'll be the executioner!", Jasper says, finishing with an evil cackle. "Fine, as long as you do not spill blood in the Palace, do as you please.", Budo replies, annoyed by Jasper's mere presence. "You fucking idiot! Now I can beat you to death without a worry in the world! Even if you're Esdeath's subordinate, I can still kill you this way!!!", Syura thinks as an evil smile comes across his face.

The two boys start to follow Budo and Jasper out into the courtyard and Kurome stays close to Wave's side. Kurome grabs Wave's sleeve and tugs it before saying, "Wave.. He's strong..." He just smiles at her and says, "I know, but it'll be fine. Just watch, I'll show you how tough I can be!" As they enter the courtyard, Jasper holds his hands out to them and says, "Alright, hand em over, your Imperial Arms. That way neither of you can cheat.", as he turns to Syura with a slight glare when he says the last part. "Fine by me.", Wave says as he willingly hands over Grand Chariot's key. Syura is a little reluctant at first, but after a moment he hands it over and says, "I don't need this to beat some weakling like you anyways." Budo and Kurome sit off to the side on the bench like normal people as Jasper sits on the back of the bench with his feet on the actual seat. Kurome is sitting between the two as their dark, almost demonic auras surround her and clash with each other. "Alright, you may begin.", Budo says in a forceful tone. "Hell yeah! Come on, Wave. I'm pissin ya off, right? So come at me like you did a minute ago. I'll be sure to show you what I got.", Syura says egging him on. "You don't have to ask me to grind you to a pulp!!", Wave shouts as he charges head first at Syura. Wave goes for a telephone punch, but Syura easily dodges it and quickly goes for a counter attack, which Wave easily catches before unleashing an onslaught of punches. Syura continues to dodge while saying, "Hey, come on, cooome oooon, do you really think you can grind me to a pulp like this? Pathetic!" Syura lands a quick right hook to Wave's jaw, sending him skidding back a few feet before rushing in and saying, "Now this is how you land a punch!", with his fist pulled back ready to punch Wave full force in the face. Wave catches his punch by his arm and says, "Weak.", before punching Syura full force in the chest, sending him flying backwards. "Oho, look at that one, General! He's feisty!", Jasper says as Wave dashes in after Syura. "He's strong, I'll give him that.", Budo says with a stern glare at the battle. "Wave will win.", Kurome says without a hint of doubt. "It's not over yet though.", Budo says as Syura manages to stand on his own two feet. "Looks like that brat isn't laughing anymore, huh, General?", Jasper says with a grin across his face. Syura quickly falls forward and throws his legs in the air as he holds himself up with his arms. He spins his body around like a top, catching Wave off guard and kicking him straight in the back of the head. As Wave goes skidding across the ground, Syura lands on his feet and says, "I didn't think I'd have to fight you like this. To think we're this close. I'll at least compliment you on that, spineless coward!!" Syura unleashes a series of devastating blows, which Wave manages to block with his arms before going for a leaping kick to catch him off guard. Syura ducks under the kick however, and slams Wave in the side with a full force roundhouse kick to the ribs, sending him flying. "That Syura brat, he's incorporating martial arts from across many countries into his fighting style.", Budo notes with as his focus on the battle tightens. "Well, Honest did send him across the world, so it only makes sense that he'd learn a few things while he's out enjoying himself.", Jasper says as he also continues to focus on the battle. Suddenly, Syura puts the palms of his hands on Wave's chest and shouts, "Now, taste some blood!!!", before energy seem to travel through Syura and out into wave's body, sending him reeling back before falling face first into the dirt. "He's definitely close to perfecting his technique....however...", Jasper notes in a more serious tone as Syura starts walking over to Wave's broken body. "Now this is where the real fun starts. It's my favorite part, death by beat down!", Syura says with a grin on his face as he starts to celebrate his victory. "It seems this 'Wave' isn't quite down for the count yet, General.", Jasper says as they watch Wave rise to his feet. Syura goes to hit him again, but Wave ducks under his attack and punches him full force in the gut as Kurome says, "General Esdeath praised him, saying that his strength was already perfected. I said he would win, didn't I?" Wave continues to land an outstanding number of powerful punches before finishing him off with a dynamic punch straight to his jaw. The punch is so strong that his body is sent all the way across the courtyard. Jasper glances over at Syura's beaten body and sees he's knocked out cold before saying, "It's your call General. What ya say?" Budo nods and says, "He's unconscious, without a doubt." "That was for Bols' wife and daughter!", Wave says courageously as he stands over Syura's limp body. "Your name was Wave, correct? It's your win.", Budo says before Jasper begins to clap, moving his hands around in a circular formation. "I'm not done. Not yet. He still needs to suffer. He needs to feel the pain he inflicted on all those innocent people!", Wave says as his frustration begins to boil over and his murderous intent pours from his body. Budo suddenly appears in front of him and goes to knock him away, but before his attack can hit Wave, Jasper catches his wrist, stopping it in its tracks. "What the-", Budo begins to think, amazed by how easily Jasper stopped his lightning quick attack, before Jasper says, "General. Buddy. Pal. The poor kid's beaten up enough. Let's just let him know that the game is over." Jasper turns to Wave and says, "Go nurse your wounds, pup. You've won today, but there's still a war to fight, and we'll need tough guys like you on the front lines." "What is this guy? He stopped General Budo's attack without even trying.", Wave thinks as he looks at the two with a dumbfounded look. Budo just slaps Jasper's hand away before turning and walking away while saying, "We should all be focusing on suppressing the rebellion. Girl, make sure his wounds are taken care of." Jasper just looks down at Syura in disgust while thinking, "Honest isn't gonna be please when he hears this. But eh, not my problem."
