Chapter Fifty Three: Kill the Emperor

As the two boys stand confidently before the Emperor as he looks down upon them. "Short range scan for enemy targets completed. According to these readings, those three insects are the only ones here.... But they're all not...", the Emperor begins to say before his mood suddenly sours and he shouts, "It doesn't matter!! I'll crush you all here and now!! I'll make sure to grind you two into nothing them I'l obliterate your cowardice friend!!!" As he shouts this, the boy raises his giant boot into the air and stomps down upon Tatsumi and Wave, but the two use their Imperial Arms to leap out of the way, quickly escaping into the sky and heading straight for the Emperor for a counter attack. The ground begins to tremble, much to the Emperor's confusion before the ground under his feet starts to rise up into the air, causing him to stumble back, creating an opening. The boys see this and take full advantage of it with Wave quickly kicking the armor right in the armor's chest plate eye with all his might and Tatsumi landing a mighty uppercut to the Emperor's chin. Though these attacks are quite powerful, they do nothing to the armor and the Emperor scolds the two, saying, "That hardly made a scratch! DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE MIGHT OF THE SUPREME IMPERIAL ARM!!!", before launching a plethora of missiles at the boys from his back. The boys quickly dodge around the missiles, but as they start to catch up, Wave quickly turns around and the scales along his forearms start to split from his arms before going flying at the explosives, causing them to go off before being able to kill them. "You won't get us so easily!", Wave exclaims as he rushes in to unleash an onslaught of kicks upon the mighty armor. Tatsumi watches on, thinking, "We'll need more power if we're going to hold out long enough for Minazuki to finish whatever it is he's doing.... More...more power..!!", before more power seems to well up inside his boy, changing his armor even further, making it look almost monsterous. The boy looks to his hand, furious with himself, before thinking, "It's still not enough...I need more... GIVE ME MORE!!!", and an outrageous amount of power starts to fill his crumbling body. The Emperor ignores Wave's weaker attacks as he watches in disbelief as Incursio's already powerful armor seems to change, becoming thicker yet sleeker than before. Seeing this, the Emperor is frightened by the readings on his screen, seeing Tatsumi's power still rising at an alarming rate. Tatsumi quickly dives down at the Emperor with a mighty punch before unleashing the fully stored power into a grand punch, but the Emperor blocks the attack with his might robot's arms. The attack shakes the machine to its very core as the Emperor thinks, "That filth!! He's forced me in my Supreme Imperial Arm, to take on a defensive stance..!!", before the two boys retreat back to the sky. Wave is completely baffled by the raw strength of Tatsumi's attack and exclaims, "Wooaahhh!! Tatsumi, you're not pushing yourself too far over the edge again, are you? We only have to hold him back for a while." "I've evolved...this is the power-up I told you about earlier...", Tatsumi replies with a glance down at his right hand, seeing it's now a full claw. He clenches his fist as he says, "With this, we'll keep him at bay, together!! Follow my lead! We're going in!!", and divebombs down at the Emperor oncemore as Wave follows close behind him, exclaiming, "You don't have to tell me twice!!" The two swiftly approach the Emperor as he prepares his main cannon and exclaims, "YOU GOD DAMNED FREAKS!!! HAVE A TASTE OF THE SUPREME CANNON!!!!" "I don't think so!!", Wave exclaims as the scales he shot earlier, which are stuck in the small cracks of the great armor, fly up into the growing ball of energy near the Emperor's chest plate. The ball quickly explodes, much to the Emperor's disbelief, he notes what happened, saying, "When he countered my missiles, he used his scales so I thought nothing of it. But he placed them in the smallest parts of my armor, waiting for an opening like this.. And now he's used them to penetrate through my defenses!!!" As the machine seems to reel back from the explosion, Wave and Tatsumi dive down at the machine with their feet ready to kick the giant in a single spot, putting their heels together to make one powerful divekick. Unable to block, the Emperor takes the full force of the attack, sending the machine skidding back as he screams out in pain. Wave and Tatsumi look on in disbelief as the armor comes to a slow skidding stop, digging into the ground with its giant hand and making giant trenches with its boots. The Emperor stands tall once more as Tatsumi exclaims, "Hell yeah!! We finally pushed him back!!", before turning to Wave."I owe you one, Wave.", he says to Wave with a slight smile, to which Wave replies, "I came here to protect the citizens. Once that's done, I'm pulling out. Helping you now only falls in line with that objective." Tatsumi lets out a chuckle before saying, "You always stick to your guns, Wave, consequences be damned. That idealism of yours...don't ever change." "Noted, let's just get back to it. He won't stand there forever.", Wave says as he prepares to go back in with another onslaught of attacks. Before he can fly off, Tatsumi grabs his shoulder and sternly says, "I just have to clear up one last thing while I have the time." Wave glances back over his shoulder to the boy and to his surprise, Tatsumi boldly says, "The greatest catch of 'em all....is Mine, hands down." Wave just grins at this and quickly replies, "You're really crazy, it's definitely Kurome, and I'll prove it to you one day!" "Damn it, what are they planning!?", the Emperor thinks as he does a full diagnosis of his armor's systems. The report quickly pops up on the screen and he mutters to himself, "It seems like that last attack didn't damage anything too important. But, something's effecting my movements." He looks down at the ground to see there's a giant shadow covering part of the battlefield. Seeing this, he looks up to see what it is and sees a giant meteor in the sky. "W-when did that get there!?!", the Emperor thinks as he looks up at it in disbelief with his jaw wide open. He looks around at the terrain to see chunks of the nearby mountains and landscape are floating up to the meteor as odd green lights start to float up from the earth into the meteor as well. "He's been building up this much power into a meteor!? What's he planning on doing with it!?! I have to destroy it before he uses it to destroy my Empire!!", the Emperor shouts in his mind as he charges up all of his cannons, aiming for the giant sphere in the sky. Before Wave and Tatsumi can do anything, the Emperor launches all five of his cannons upon the giant meteor, causing the boys' eyes to widen in disbelief as the lasers shoot out of the eyes. The sphere is engulfed in a giant explosion, covering the meteor in a giant cloud of smoke. "Minazuki!!!", Tatsumi exclaims in disbelief as they look up at the giant smoke cloud in horror. To their surprise, they hear a roaring voice call out to them, saying, "Mortals shouldn't worry about the health of a God." They see glowing eyes through the smoke screen and with a thunderous roar, the smoke all disperses, revealing a large dragon with majestic wings that spread out like that of a God. "What is that!?", Wave exclaims in disbelief before the dragon looks down at the boys, causing them to flinch. "Your work is done here. I will handle the Emperor of Nothing.", the dragons proclaims with a thunderous voice. As Tatsumi senses the aura built up inside the beast, he begins to shake in fear as his skin starts to feel as if it's crawling off his body. "W-what's going on!? Tyrant!? Are you...afraid?", Tatsumi thinks as everything in his body tells him to run. The beast quickly divebombs down to the boys, towering over them as he's about the same size as the Gokoku Kinshin Shikouteizer. As Tatsumi's and the beast's eyes meet, he senses something familiar and he sees a faint image of Minazuki in his mind before muttering under his breath, "Minazuki..?" "Go, I'll deal with him. Help Esdeath and Budo deal with Shol. I will join you soon.", the dragon says to the boy as he glances down at them.
