Chapter Fifty Two: The Last Hope

Down in the Capital, Shol is guarding the Supreme Imperial Arm's rear without fail. He stands upon a mountain of corpses of those who opposed him as he looks up at the giant Imperial Arm's trump card. "Gokoku Kinshin Shikouteizer, what a dreadful armor. But it's definitely powerful. I think I'll steal its power once they've worn him down a bit. Who knows, maybe they'll defeat him and make the perfect opening for me to take his power?", Shol thinks to himself as he looks up at the giant abomination. A smile comes across his face as he turns around to see the Rebel forces surrounding him. "They're aiming to destroy it in its entirety. I won't let that happen!!", Shol proclaims as he disintegrates the soldiers in an instant with a giant flaming explosion. As he does this, he's met with a strike to the back of the head and goes flying across the battlefield like a ragdoll. "Don't get so cocky, you still have us to deal with!!!", Budo exclaims as he drops down lightning upon Shol. As he goes to dodge the attack, Shol sees he can't since his feet are frozen to the ground as ice claws reach up from the ice to grab his body. "We'll end you here and now, Shol!! Die!!!", Esdeath shouts as a giant ice meteor freezes in the sky before suddenly dropping down on him with Budo's lightning. As the attack hits him, it causes a giant explosion of steam, blinding the Gods. To their surprise, a giant dragon made of fire flies out of the steam and consumes Budo before exploding in a giant fire ball. "You shouldn't underestimate me. If you do, you'll surely die.", Shol replies as he floats up into the air with his arm of flame turning into a blue flame.

Up in his Imperial Arm, the Emperor is looking down at the destruction he's brought upon his Empire and his enemies. He only grits his teeth at the sight of the countless dead bodies and crying children before shouting, "You vermin, who disturbed this great country which my parents loved and cherished, I WILL PURGE YOU ALL!!! EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU!!!!" As he shouts this, Tatsumi comes flying at him, ready to strike as he shouts, "DON'T BE A FOOL!!!" "Ah, there was an enemy there?", the Emperor mutters to himself as he notices Tatsumi's presence. His Imperial Arm starts to cough up something as he says to himself, "It's not a problem anymore." As it spits out a legion of man-sized insect Danger Beasts, the young Lord exclaims, "Go! Melee Guards!!! Destroy this bug!!!" This doesn't impress Tatsumi though, as he swiftly cuts down the legion without any effort and continues on his flight path to the Emperor, shouting, "This is nothing!! I'll end you here and now!!!" "Agreed!!", Minazuki shouts to Tatsumi as he forms to large dragon claws that fly up into the air, balling up into stone fists as Tatsumi reels back his arm and balls his free hand into a fist. As all three fists hit the giant at once, the force behind the combined attack sends shockwaves through the air and ground, but the armor barely budges. "You two...are annoying me.", the Emperor says to them coldly as he glares at the two assassins. Tatsumi and Minazuki are both left in complete aw at this as Minazuki thinks, "He didn't just get more armor, the entire machine became even harder too. This isn't good..." Tatsumi quickly retreats, using the giant's arm as a springboard to leap to his escape, as the Emperor shouts, "Before I move onto the Rebel Army, it would be wise to kill you two first!! How do you two like this!?!?!" As he shouts this, he unleashes a plethora of tiny missiles that zoom through the sky. Tatsumi manages to barely dodge the attacks, but Minazuki chooses to block the attacks with his giant claws, but the combined explosions are enough to shatter them. "T-they're that strong!?!", Tatsumi thinks as he watches the claws fall apart and crumble into dirt. "Tatsumi, don't stop moving! If you do, you'll die!!", Minazuki exclaims as he rides his stone dragon's skull across the sky, dodging the missiles still following him. Tatsumi quickly nods in response before shouting back, "But we can't keep on the defensive forever!! We have to stop this thing before anyone else gets hurt!!!" The missiles suddenly start exploding before hitting their target, creating a mine field for the two assassins. "They're exploding on their own now!? This is ridiculous!!", Tatsumi thinks in a panic as he desperately tries to dodge the attacks. As the Emperor observes their movements, he mutters to himself, "Even through all these explosions, you can't escape my sight. And if I see the slightest opening, I'll kill them directly!!", before sending even more missiles at them. Tatsumi and Minazuki both manage to evade the onslaught of missiles for a moment as Tatsumi thinks, "Damn it! There's too much smoke to see any openings!! Should I go for it and go through the explosions!?", but out of the corner of his eye he sees a missile going off course, and when he looks to where it'll hit, he sees there are countless citizens trying to escape the city. Without even thinking about it, his body moves in front of the missile, blocking the attack and saving the citizens below, but at the cost of massive damage done to his entire body. The citizens look on in horror as Tatsumi's smoking body starts to fall down from the sky in front of them, and as it hits the ground, he's quickly stabbed through the back by a long blade. The blade reaches all the way from the giant Imperial Arm's right palm and pierces through Tatsumi's armor, digging into the ground below as blood shoots out of the boy's back. "An opening!!", the Emperor gleefully exclaims as he reels his blade back into his palm, pulling Tatsumi's body half way up with the blade. As he sees this happening, Minazuki rushes in to land a hit on the armor and distract the Emperor, but he's quickly swatted away with a quick backhand from the Emperor's left hand as the boy raises his right arm, clenching it into a fist as he shouts, "You bug, you really annoyed me!!!" With his giant fist coming down on Tatsumi, the Emperor madfully exclaims, "This is the strongest armor type Imperial Arm!! You had no hope of winning in the first place!!!" His fist crushes Tatsumi and everything under it in a split second, causing an explosion similar to a small nuke going off, devastating everything in that area. The Emperor lifts his fist and turns to Minazuki, who's already recovered from the attack as he stands forms a giant pillar made of stone to raise himself into the air, but is bleeding a bit from his mouth as he sees the destruction in the distance from that powerful attack the Emperor just unleashed. "Tatsumi...? TATSUMI!!!!", Minazuki shouts as his aura is completely unsealed, rampaging through the air like a wild Danger Beast. "Now I can focus entirely on killing you, annoying little bug.", the young Emperor scoffs as he looks down at Minazuki, not impressed by his overwhelming amount of aura. Quake tries to calm the boy down, telling him, "Minazuki! You need to focus your aura!! If you let it continue as it is now, we could tear the world apart!!" "I know what I'm doing!!", Minazuki shouts as he lifts his hand up to the sky and the ground below them begins to tremble. As he does this, giant moon sized meteors start to rise up from the around the nearby mountains up into the sky. "I'll drop one million pillars of death from orbit on you!! Let's see how strong your armor truly is, BOY!!!!!", Minazuki exclaims as the giant balls lift off into the atmosphere and start to break apart before suddenly coming crashing down from space. "You think this phases me? Pathetic.", the Emperor proclaims as he charges his main cannon. He points it up to the sky and shoots it across it, hitting all of the falling spears with the blast, causing them all to explode in a giant display of raw power in the sky. "This is the power of Gokoku Kinshin Shikouteizer, the unbeatable Imperial Arm!! You'd do good to remember that, you bug!!!", he shouts before sending more missiles at the God. Minazuki just grits his teeth in frustration and shouts, "That won't work on me!! I already know how to counter that trick!!!", before sending small stones into the air, creating a giant mine field of stones that he sends towards the missiles. One of the missiles hits one of the stones and as it explodes, a chain reaction of explosions follows, destroying all of them at once and leaving a giant smoke screen. "Just die already!!!", the Emperor shouts as he throws a powerful punch at Minazuki through the smoke. Minazuki catches his punch with one of his stone hands and exclaims at the top of your breath, "Monsters like you don't deserve to live in this world!! Just disappear!!!!", as he sends another giant stone fist at the Emperor. It surprisingly connects, but does nothing to the Supreme Imperial Arm and the Emperor just laughs. "You fool!! Simple attacks like that won't hurt me and my-", he begins to gloat, but the arm suddenly wraps around the giant's neck, catching him off guard. Minazuki quickly shouts, "Don't underestimate me, boy!! I'll show you the power of a GOD!!!", before clenching his open hand into a fist, causing the entire arm to explode with the force of a nuclear bomb! The explosion engulfs the Imperial Arm entirely in a furious explosion, and as it fades, the robot's arms and head go limp, but the machine remains standing. Exhausted, Minazuki drops to his knees and mutters to himself, "We...we did it...Tat...su..mi..." As Minazuki regains his energy from the green orbs floating around him, he stands up and says, "You should've known better than to challenge a God. Some mortals are just so foolish." But as he goes to check on Tatsumi, the Supreme Imperial Arm's right arm sudden comes back to life and goes flying towards Minazuki. He manages to dodge the attack as the Emperor shouts, "YOU BASTARD!!! HOW DARE YOU DO SUCH A THING TO YOUR EMPEROR!?!?!" "H-He's still alive!?", Minazuki exclaims in disbelief, but the Emperor only growls in response. As the eyes all over the giant machine widen, balls of energy form in front of all of them as the young Lord exclaims, "I'LL MAKE YOU SUFFER A MILLION DEATHS FOR DOING THAT TO ME!!!! DIE!!!!!" With his rage unleashed, the lasers and missiles all shoot out at Minazuki all at once, aiming to finally kill the God, but he manages to keep dodging or destroying the attacks before they hit him. "Damn it all! We have to keep going!! We can't lose here!!!", Minazuki thinks to himself as he continues his fight against the Emperor.
