Chapter Thirty Two: Kill the Disaster

It's late at night and Tatsumi and Mine are reviewing information that the Revolutionary spies provided about Wild Hunt's movements. Mine lets out a sigh as she tosses a pile of papers down on the coffee table before saying, "Wild Hunt, they're a bunch of chicken. Apparently, they haven't even taken a single stop outside the palace since Minazuki killed three of them." Tatsumi sets the paper he was reading down before saying, "We're not getting any good leads, so the Boss wants Minazuki, Lubbock, and I to go into the Capital and see if we can hunt them down. Based on how these guys have 'fun' they can't stay locked up like this for much longer." "You three are lucky, they didn't make any wanted posters of you, somehow. Didn't Kurome see Minazuki's face that one time? How come he doesn't have a wanted poster up yet?", Mine complains. "Not sure, honestly. I think Wave got all of you guys, except Lubbock, when you guys fought him. I'm guessing Lubbock played dead at some point and faked his own death?", Tatsumi replies as he picks up his mug full of coffee. "Well, just try to avoid the center of the Capital. Esdeath's apparently back, and we don't need her taking you again, alright?", she says before turning to him, waiting for his response. He just nods and says, "You don't have to tell me twice. I don't want anything to do with that woman." Mine seems to stare at Tatsumi before crawling over to him and saying, "Hey, Tatsumi, it might be a bit weird of me to ask this, considering how long ago it was, but.... When you were captured, or when you got stuck with her on that deserted island...did you..." He just looks at her with a confused look as he drinks his coffee before she finishes, asking, "Did Esdeath do anything perverted to you..?" He spits out his coffee as he hears her ask that before shouting, "N-NO! OF COURSE NOT!!" Her face turns a bit read and she asks, "Really? Thank God!" "Well, I got kissed some because stuff happened, but that's about the extent of it...", he mutters to himself. "She what!?! So she did!!!", Mine shouts as she hears his mumbling. She sits there for a moment and pouts about it before looking over to him with a worried look. She crawls over to Tatsumi and gently cups his cheeks with her hands, before turning his head gently to look him in the eyes. His face turns a bit red as she sees an odd look in her eyes. "I don't know how many times she did that to you, but, I'll make you forget all about that. You won't have to worry about that anymore, Tatsumi.", she says with her face turning from a light pink to a slight red. Her hands move from his face to his shoulders as she leans in, ready to kiss him. He leans in too, thinking, "Mine....You were completely right back then... I'm falling head over heels for you, just like you said..." As they share a passionate kiss, Tatsumi falls back on the couch, with Mine on top of him.

Off in a workshop just built in the Palace, Cosmina's naked body is floating in a giant tube of strange liquid. Dorothea is running tests on her as Izou is sitting off to the side. They suddenly hear someone ask, "How's Cosmina?", and she turns her head to see who it is to see Syura. She looks up at Cosmina's naked body, a gem is now filling the hole from where she was pierced through her throat, and says, "No matter how many times I look at them, her tits are amazing! It's so aggravating, Syura!", as she crosses her arms in frustration. "That's not what I was askin, you idiot! Is she still useful!?", Syura shouts, causing her to look at him with a confused look. "Well, yeah. It's me after all! She escaped death by just a fraction of a second, but she made it in the end, so there's that.", she replies with a slight smile. Syura sighs and says, "In the Western Kingdom, she was branded a witch because her voice could manipulate people apparently." "Ignorant people fearing what they don't understand, it's the same everywhere you do, isn't it?", Dorothea says with a saddened look on her face. "They apparently hunted her down and set her house on fire with everyone inside. They killed her entire family, but she managed to get out alive. That's probably what drove her bat shit crazy, right?", Syura says with a slight smile. "Her vitality is incredible! She'll make a wonderful test subject for my alchemy! But, I do have one question, Syura...", she continues. He turns to her and she asks, "Why the hell are you telling me all this stuff about Cosmina? Nobody cares." He just rolls his eyes and says, "Fine, I thought you might be interested in her story, jeez. I'll keep it to myself next time. I guess you don't want to hear about Izou's tragic past then and having to fight his brother to the death and what not?" Dorothea just shakes her head no and says, "Thanks for taking my comment into consideration." He just sighs and she says, "Oh, by the way, those other two were completely dead. You'll just have to give up on those losers. Enshin and Champ, right?" He just rubs the back of his head and says, "I don't need some weaklings that got defeated when they had access to their full power." "Hm, I thought he got along well with Enshin, but I guess his ability to move on so quickly is one of his many strengths...", Dorothea thinks to herself after hearing his harsh comments about Enshin and Champ. "Well, I'll put this place to good use! We don't want to waste the money your father had to pour into having this place built for little old me, so I'll do my best for you. Oh, right, by the way, Cosmina might have some brain damage from when her heart stopped beating.", Dorothea says, tapping her finger tips together nervously as she says the last part about Cosmina. Syura just puts his hand up, as if he doesn't give a shit, and says, "I care as long as she's useful on the battlefield. As long as she can fight, I don't give two shit's if she's a complete retard.", as he walks away from her. "If I don't have anything good to tell Pops, he'll be disappointed in me again."
