My Love Story: My Conclusion

It only hurt for a short while.

He said that he didn't love me anymore. It was just too late.

You know what? I agree.

Surprisingly, when Len said that he didn't like me anymore, it didn't hurt as much as I thought. After silently brooding for a few hours, nothing... Just... Nothing.

A month later, I learned why.

Finals were coming. Everyone is busy with completing all their requirements for graduation. Projects, reports, thesis and a lot more piled up along with the stress that came along with it.

I didn't realize it at first. I was just busy with everything else, I didn't even have a second to notice him.

Until I heard the news.

"Hey, did you hear?" Gumi asked me during homeroom. She took a chair and sat in front of my desk.

"About what?" I asked her, not looking away from what I was typing.

"Len cut himself with scissors last night."

I stiffened up and immediately stopped what I was doing. I slowly looked up towards Gumi's direction.

"W-what? Why?" I whisper-shouted.

"I heard it was because Miku stood him up the other night on their date."

"O-oh... O-o.. Kayy..."

"Yeah..."

"Actually Gumi..."

"I think I saw some peculiar looking pills around his desk when I cleaned up yesterday."

"For real?"

"Yeah.  Maybe they were Anti-depressants."

"I think I'm afraid of him now. I mean.  He's so obsessive.  I feel bad for Miku."

"I know what you mean. She is my best friend."

"Shhh... He's walking here." Immediately,  me and Gumi resumed what we were doing earlier.  I went back to typing my thesis and Gumi went back to har partner.

As Len passed by me,  I can't help but notice the gray scarf around his wrist.

Naturally, as a best friend, I was really worried for Miku. No, I am till now. So as soon as the bell rung for dismissal I pulled Miku to some place secluded.

"Rin!  Wait!  Where are you taking me?" She asked. Practically weirded at me than usual. But I did not say a word and only dragged her with me. I saw a vacant classroom and ushered her inside.

Once we were in, she looked at me quizzically. I sighed and started to explain.

"I really have to say something important to you." I started.

"Yeah sure. What is it?"

"Miku. Stay away from Len."

"Why?"

"Miku don't play dumb. Your life is at stake here."

"What are you talking about Rin? I don't follow."

"Miku listen carefully. Len... Len's... different now. He... I' just worried for your safety. Your my best friend Miku."

Miku wasn't saying anything.

"Please don't tell me you fell for him already?"

"Easy for you to say. You fell in love with him too, once upon a time."
