It had been three hours since she has been appointed as his maid.

And to be honest. She thought that it would be more taxing. But so far, it proved to be rather, dare she say, boring. All she did that time was to stay by his side while he filled in paperwork. She hasn't even got the chance to change her clothes. Does she have to change into those fancy uniforms? Why hasn't he told her to do anything, well aside from that farce order and him asking her to notify the gurds to call for someone to fix it. If she was going to be a maid, at least make it more interesting.

The glass has been given a temporary repair with slabs of wood nailed together, just an hour ago with her help. She offered her services since she had nothing better to do, but she was tired down by the dedicated workers.  And since then, all she did was to sit down in front of the fire near him.

She did not notice but she began to slightly tap her foot to the ground repeatedly in a slow motion, a habit she has when she is impatient. And that is also a habit that Len remembers of her.

"To be honest, I'm being tired for you. You have not moved from that seat since I told you to sit down there. I know you probably are getting tired of staying at the same spot." Len sighed as glaced at her direction from his makeshift desk with a bed food tray. He felt comfortable being in front of the fire so he did not ask to be transferred back to his desk especially if the glass was still not fixed.

"I was simply ordered by his majesty to sit beside him and nothing else." She replied with the aesthetic eloquence befitting of a royal maid with experience under her belt. Where she learned how to talk like that puzzled Len.

"Although I appreciate that I have no need of teaching you the fundamentals of being a maid, you could talk to me casually when we are alone."

"I shall abide as his majesty wishes." She replied with a bow and a small smirk, which she did not even try to hide.

"Okay now I think you are just teasing me." Len said putting down his pen to face her, a smile on his face mirroring Rin's.

"Maybe I am, maybe I am not. You will never know." She told him, standing up and stretching for the first time in an hour. After a few stretches, she straightened her skirt and fixed her headdress.
