Chapter 16 - christmas dinner

Abbeys POV

We walked into matts house and said hello to his parents.

"Are you guys ready to eat," his mom asked.

"Oh yes please I'm starving," i said looking at Matthew.

"Me too," he said smiling at me.

"Ok then lets eat," his mom said motioning to the kitchen.

We walked into the kitchen and Matthew pulled out my chair for me and i sat down. His parents made us give thanks before we ate. Matthew is catholic and his parents take it seriously i guess.

After we ate dinner we decided to go up to Matthew's room. We hung out in his room until it got dark. His parents went to their room and were watching tv when me and matt went down stairs.
Earlier before we left my house i grabbed the present i bought for matt. i ran to the car to go get it. when i came back in Matthew was sitting underneath the christmas tree.

It looked really pretty because it was dark and the only light shining was coming from the Christmas tree. He was sitting down leaning back on his hands and just looking up at the tree. He looked so cute!! I went over and sat next to him, I leaned over and kissed his cheek. I handed him the present i brought from the car.

He sat up and handed me my present. "You go first," he said and flashed me a smile. I started to open it very slowly at first, but then i ripped open the paper really fast. It was a large plain box, but when I opened the box here is what I found. There was a hot pink penny board with blue wheels, knee pads, elbow pads, and a helmet. I smiled so widely and gave matt a huge hug.

"Oh EM gee!!! How did you know?" I said as i pulled out of the hug.

"You always talk about how you always wanted to learn how to penny board. This summer I'm gonna teach you how."

"Thank you so much! I love it matt! Ok you open yours now."

He reached for the box. He opened the gift and inside there was a blue neff beanie, his favorite candy,(an assortment of sour candies) and the last thing was a new video game Matthew has wanted for a long time for his xbox. "You remembered the beanie i wanted... And the game!!" He out the beanie on so his hair stuck out the front in a really hot way. "And u got me candy. Candy candy candy!" He said opening the package. But he said candy in a really silly voice that made me smile. "Thanks so much babe," Matthew said with a wide smile.

"No problem matt, i love you," i said.

"I love you too," Matthew said as he pulled me close. We sat there under the tree just looking at it for a while. It was nice just sitting there with his arm around me and being silent. Even if its completely quiet i just like being with him, like his presence just makes me happy.

Pretty soon Matthew drove me home, he walked me to my front porch.

"I'll see you later babe, I had a great time with u today," Matthew said.

"Me too, thanks for taking me everywhere."

"No problem well have a good night," he said and kissed me on the cheek. "I love you," i said. He said, " i love you to." He turned to leave and started walking to his truck.

"Wait!," i said and i grabbed his shoulders and turned him around. I grabbed the collar of his shirt and kissed him hard on the lips. It was a passionate and heated, but our mouths stayed closed.

After the kiss Matthew said, "Wow..."

"Goodnight," i said as I ran inside and closed the door leaving him stunned on my porch.

I watched him through the peephole. He just stood there looking at the door, touched his mouth and licked his lips. He turned around and walked back to his truck and drove away. I then walked upstairs into my room. I looked around remembering what me and matt did earlier this afternoon. I've never gone that far with a boy before and lets just say today was probably the best day of my life.

I changed into my pjs, got into bed and listened to music. I put on my playlist called "Matt <3" it had a bunch of songs that reminded me of him and i listened to them as I fell asleep.
