Chapter 28 - 18

Abbeys POV

Today i woke up with a special feeling. It was my 18th birthday and i felt like a whole new person! I jumped out of bed with excitement and checked my phone. I was scrolling through my notifications, twitter, twiter, instagram, instagram, Matthew. I slid to open my message from matt.

Happy birthday beautiful! 🎉🎊🎈🎂🎁❤️

I responded,

Awe thanks babe! 💋I'm so excited for tonight. 😄

He said,

Me too! I gtg get ready for stupid school. 👿

Instantly he responded,

I got out of bed and combed my hair, brushed my teeth and got dressed. I was looking pretty since it was my birthday so i tried a little extra to look good. I put on eyeliner and mascara and some lipstick. I was finished so i went down stairs and my parents gave me hugs.

They both wished me happy birthday and my dad leaned in and whispered something in my ear. "Just a little gift," and he handed me a small little box.

I opened it and it was so beautiful. It was a gold chain with a diamond heart dangling from the chain and it was just amazing. I gasped and gave my dad a huge hug. "Oh my god dad... Thanks so much its wonderful." I said full of joy.

"I'm glad you like it. Now that your an adult and you might be leaving us soon," he pulled my mom up close to his side, "i want you to have something to remember us by."

"Awe dad i love you guys so much," i pulled them into a hug. I had my dad help me put it on.

"You better hurry someones at the door, your gonna be late for school," my mom said.

"Ok love you bye," i said running out of the door.

"Bye!!" The both said in unison.

I ran out to Taylor's car that was parked in the driveway. I hopped in and gave matt a kiss on the cheek.

"Happy birthday!!" They all said at the same time.

"Awe thanks guys!" I said back.

Oh btw Madisen and Carter were added to our car pool. We drove to school and had a fun car ride.

Ok i had a few hours before we had to go to my party. I decided to take a shower because I didn't this morning and i was all gross from school. When I got out i let my hair go down naturally and i added a white lace head wrap that had a white bow on the top. Yeah those are kind of my thing. I put on a little white strapless lace dress and some white Keds. I was still wearing the necklace my dad gave me, i loved it. I thought it was cute and i wanted to wear all white because they have a black light.

We were having a blast! It was super (quote Madisen) "jammin". We played bowling, laser tag, and danced with neon lights and black lights. Me and Matthew danced a lot together and we even grinded a little.

Everyone of my friends was there and shawn and his friends did show up. They were all having a great time.

I had an awesome night! The places closed at 11 so we left then matthew was driving me home.

Matthew's POV

When we were in the truck i put on some music and abbey fell asleep. It was a long drive back so i let her sleep i didn't wake her up. She looked so peaceful as she slept. I almost got in a wreck because I was watching her sleep.

When we got to her house i parked the car and got out of the car. I left her in there asleep and went to knock on the door. Her dad opened it, "hey Matt," he said. "Where's abbey?" He asked.

"Shes in the truck asleep i didn't want to wake her," i said ," I'm gonna bring her in ok?"

"Sure sure," he left the door cracked and he walked away.

I walked back to the truck and opened her door. Ok I'm not trying to sound like a perv but her dress was kinda showing her butt because it like rose a little. I laughed to myself and i put one arm underneath her legs and the other on her back. I lifted her up and pulled down her dress so her dad wouldn't see, and I had her in my arms.

I walked up to her porch and pushed the door open with my foot. I slowly walked upstairs and i was real careful about it because I didn't want to drop her. I pushed open her bedroom door with my foot again and entered her room. I laid her down on her bed, i pulled the blankets over her. I bent down and kissed her forehead. "Goodnight beautiful, i love you," i whispered to her. Even though she was asleep i felt like she could hear me.

I said goodbye to her dad and left. "I can't wait for tomorrow night!" I thought to myself as I drove home.
