Chapter 20 - The Party

Matthew's POV

Its friday afternoon and Taylor's party is tonight. I'm gonna get there a little late because I have to go down to the bowling alley tonight. I'm meeting someone to talk about abbeys party. I'm arranging it to be at this huge neon bowling alley. They blast music and put on a black light....

...and i think she will like it. She's been kind of quite all week and i don't know why. I've been avoiding her for a while because I need to sort out this party thing. And I've been working extra hours so i can afford it. I feel bad for doing that but I have to.

Anyway it's the afternoon and i just dropped everyone at there houses. I drove home and told my parents where I was going. At about 6 I began to drive to the bowling alley. It's like an hour away so and I was meeting the manager at 7:30 so i figure i will have a little extra time in case something happens.

Abbeys POV

Its 6 and I'm just laying in bed debating whether I should go to this party or not. I really don't feel like going without Matthew but on the other hand i think it will be fun and he will get there eventually. I don't even know why he's not gonna be there on time. It's supposed to start at around 8 but me and maddy were gonna go a little early to help taylor set up. I hear my phone ring and i sit up... Its maddy.

Phone convo

Me- hey gaywad

Maddy- he bae u almost ready

Me- i don't know if I'm even gonna go

Maddy- what do u mean, it's gonna be the best party of the year!!

Me- i don't wanna go without matt.

Maddy- he will be there at like 10 he said.

Me- yeah but still.

Maddy- how many times have i dragged u with me somewhere.

Me- a lot

Maddy- and how many times have u been disappointed

Me- .... Never...

Maddy- exactly just come pleaaaassseeeee.....

Me- ok fine

Maddy- great! I'll pick u up at 8

Me- okey see u then

Maddy- bye bye gaywad

Me- later bae

End phone call.

I hung up the phone and stood up. I sit down at my vanity and take my hair out of its braid. I comb it out and decide to leave it down and wavy. It was a little cray because my hair is really curly, but i thought it looked okay and it was a party so why not. I put on a black head band that has a little black bow attached to the top. I adjusted it till it was perfect and stood up. I walked over to my closet, i stared at it for a while. I picked out a pink flowy tank, black leggings, an Aztec print cardigan, black flats, and gold jewelry.

I still had a little while till maddy got here, so i went downstairs and watched some dumb show with my dad. At about 6:50 maddy knocked on my door.

I walked out with her as my dad called from the doorway ,"have fun, you both look great."

I laughed, "bye dad love you!!"

"Love you too abbey," he said as we got in the car.

Maddy and i said at the same time, "ahhhhhhh PEEDDDOO!!" We did this weird thing where we yell ahh whenever something strange or perverted happens. We both laughed as she started the car, and she drove us to Taylor's house.

Taylor opened the door and hugged maddy and kissed her cheek, then he hugged me. We walked in and it looked sick!! There was all these lights and huge speakers, lots of food and Madisen and Carter were already there.

"Hey guys!!" I said to them. Carter was behind a laptop on a table next to the speakers and him and Madisen said hey back at the same time. They looked at each other and laughed. I walked over to carter to see what he was doing.

"Whatcha doin?" I asked him.

He said still looking at the laptop, "I'm making a playlist for the party wanna help?"

Madisen and i helped carter look for songs for like 10 mins. Meanwhile maddy was helping taylor make a little dance floor space. They moved some furniture out of the way and cleared a space in the living room near the speakers.

We all stood side by side and looked at it all.

"Taylor...? " i said looking into the room.

"Yeah?" He said.

"I think you know how to throw a party." We all looked at him and he smiled real wide. We all looked towards the door when we heard the doorbell ring.
