Chapter 22 - best friends are always there

Abbeys POV

I got in Maddy's car and she started to drive me home. "I'm sorry i ruined the party for you... Are you gonna go back?" I asked her. I looked over at her and she kept her eyes on the road, she looked pissed off. She was mad at me because I was drunk, i think.

"You didn't ruin it for me... And yeah I'm gonna go back," she replied with a harsh tone.

"I'm sorry... That's all i a-am is sorry," i said as i started tearing up. My voice did that weird thing where u cant talk when your crying and you like stutter. I buried my face in my hands and looked down. I started crying and i felt maddy put her arm on my back.

"Matthew hates me now... I-i loved him so much," i kept crying and i felt the car turn. She pulled into my driveway and parked the car, she rubbed her hand in circles on my back. We sat there in my driveway for a few minutes and i was just crying the whole time.

Maddy got out of the car and walked over to my side, she opened my door. She grabbed my hand and helped me out. I could barley walk so i was leaning on Maddy's shoulder, one of her arms wrapped around me. She walked me to my front door and i got my keys out of my pocket, I figured my parents would be asleep by now it was 11 o'clock. We walked in the house and she helped me up the stairs.

My parents were asleep because there were no other lights on in the house. We got into my room and i sat down on my chair while maddy pulled my futon down to the bed position. She helped me stand up and helped me lay down on the bed.

I suddenly jumped out of the bed and ran to the bathroom, my stomach felt terrible. I ran in the bathroom and flung down on my knees, i lifted the toilet seat. I vomited in the toilet and i felt maddy touch my back. She pulled my hair out of my face so the puke wouldn't get on it. She patted my back and sat there with me for a while as i threw up. I was so grateful to have my best friend there for me. I loved her and she loved me and I was glad she didn't leave me alone.

After I was done she helped me up and walked my to my bed, she pulled back the blankets and sat me down. Maddy pulled off my shoes and took off my cardigan, i lay down and she covered me...

Maddy's POV

After abbey laid down she fell asleep instantly, passed out drunk more like it. I could believe what she had done. I mean she loved Matthew she would never go and kiss some random guy. I guess she was just upset so she drank and... well nobody acts like themselves when they are drunk. I wrote her a note and left it on her vanity,

Dear abbey,

I don't know if u will remember but u got really drunk last night. U kissed nash, and Matthew stormed out and drove away. I brought u back home and u fell asleep. I left after u fell asleep and went back to the party. Just know i am not mad at u, everything is good. Btw sorry if u have a bad headache, i expect u will. Call me ASAP. Love you ❤️

After that i left her house, and drove back to Taylor's. I walked in and the party was just the same and everyone was dancing and stuff. I walked into the kitchen and everything was good i turned the corner into the living room and i was totally shocked. Madisen and Carter were making out!!!! She was straddling him on the couch! I didn't say anything i just laughed to myself and kept walking.

I found taylor and kissed him. I told him everything that happened when I took abbey home. He just sighed and said,"i feel so bad."

We partied the rest of the night until like 2 in the morning. Everyone started going home but me, Madisen and Carter stayed. Well i guess they were a thing now because they were holding hands as we were talking. When it was just us four after everyone left, we sat down and talked about abbey and Matthew. We also cleaned up the house as we talked.

A little later Madisen and Carter went home together and i stayed with taylor. I helped him finish cleaning and we talked for a while. At about 3 o'clock i went home, I couldn't get matthew and abbey out of my head though. I had a rough time sleeping that night, i was worried about them.
