Chapter 35- back to school

*4 months later...May*

Abbeys POV

I've been really busy lately with student council. its that time of year again, Prom. I honestly cannot wait because I've been waiting for this day my whole life. Just like every little girl i always imagined the night of prom, a handsome prince coming in a limo to pick me up... You understand. but anyways I've been super busy setting this up, i am the student council president after all. I haven't seen Matthew or anyone else really because I've been so busy.

Today was friday one week before prom and i was walking back to my advisory class which was our student council class. I walked in the room and went over to my group of friends, all of them were giggling and laughing.

"Whats up guys," i asked with a confused face.

One of the girls pointed to my desk and i looked over to it. on my desk there was a bunch of stuff, my favorite candies, my favorite Starbucks drink, some roses, and there was a balloon tied to the case of flowers. On the balloon it read "Prom?" And my heart filled with joy. Matthew still asked me to prom even though we were already dating and i assumed we would go together.

My teacher came by and told everyone to sit down and we were going to have a meeting. student council was cool because it wasn't really a class it was really fun. We just talked and the secretary took noted on our final adjustments to the prom plans.

The bell rang and i gathered all my stuff. i met Matthew outside because that was our last class of the day. I just ran up to him and hugged him, "yes," i said. "i will go to prom with you."

"Oh good you found my surprise," Matthew said and opened my car door.

"Yeah i loved it!" I said as i got in the drivers seat.

I leaned over the console and kissed his cheek and he smiled. we waited for maddy and taylor to come to the car and we just talked about prom for a while. The dress i already bought was a mint green color and Matthew said he would buy a bow tie to match it.

Maddy and taylor got in the car and told us about how taylor an maddy were going to prom as well. we talked about it the whole way home.

me and matt hung out that afternoon at his house. We were gonna go to the movies that night by ourselves on a date without anyone else.

He took me to see 22 jump street because it came out last week. we had an awesome time and he took me home late that night.

I had a hard time falling asleep because i was so excited for next saturday! prom!!!
