After a few weeks had passed, Kousei was ready to be released from the hospital. He had finished his first round of therapy which had began to shrink the tumors. This course had extended Kousei's expected lifespan by at least a year! Kaori had continued to visit him everyday and sometimes even stayed the night. These nurses were stricter than the ones they had on the night they met though so these nights were few and far between. They had been together for over 2 months now and while this kind of circumstance could, and probably would, ruin any other relationship, it had only made their's stronger.

Kousei was released on March 21st. He would have to wear a cannula for as long as he would live and could not partake in any strenuous activities like sports or running. However, for the time being, he would still be able to play his piano which truly excited him as he had a grand plan.

"Hey."

"Hm?"

"Remember that question I asked you?" He smiled

"Yeeeeeeesssss." She looked down at her feet.

"Let's do it! The doctors said I can play the piano and I want us to perform together when we still have the chance!" His grin stretched from ear to ear, like a giddy child's.

"For you-" She cupped his cheeks in her hands and kissed him "I would do anything!"

"I want us to play Love's Sorrow." It was his turn to look at the ground.

"Why Love's Sorrow?"

"I am already experiencing Love's Joy. I get to wake up everyday and have the honour of calling you my girlfriend!" He cheesily replied.

"And I want to prepare you for...you know..." He trailed off.

He just hugged me. He didn't say anything. He just held me as close to him as he could. We both left out our own sobs. Eventually he composed himself.

"So much for no more tears." He joked, wiping away mine and his own.

"I have a feeling you already know, but you may want to see this."

She continued to play her violin with the utmost aggression. She had a point to prove. She tore through the contestant sheet.

She was back. After 3 long hard years of waiting and waiting, she was back. And I'm going to end her.

Kaori Miyazono. You're going to be sorry you ever picked that violin back up...

A/N: This is so so short and I'm really sorry but I've hit a little bit of writer's block. I do plan on updating this tomorrow and I hope you noticed the little teaser that I've put in at the end. I'm going to be introducing an original character into my story but I will say no more for the time being. For those of you wondering, Kaori was a popular accompanist instead of a soloist in my story. Takeshi and Emi will play no role in this as the focus will be on Kaori's return to competition, not Kousei's continued rise.

Their relationship is going to soar again in the next few chapters and I have no intention ofs slowing them down again as I think I'm over halfway into my story at this moment. I think it will be completed by the end of the month but I am already coming up with ideas for new stories. I might make a compilation of one-shots too as that might work better but I don't quite know.

Thank you for your continued support! <3
