I woke up with sore wrists and ankles. I realized I was tied up, with zip ties, which were tied to ropes that connected to a beam on the ceiling and a metal ring embedded to the floor. But the thing was, I was high enough to stand on my tiptoes, and I could dislocate something if I didn't use my toes to support myself. Eventually, I'll get too tired.
My vision was blurry, but I eventually focused on the image in front of me. He was there, twirling a hunting knife between his fingers swiftly. He grinned wickedly at me and he dragged the tip of the blade gently down my right arm, starting at my wrist. His hair was released from his hat's hold, it was wild, long, and disheveled, but it was cut on the sides. His face was unkept with heavy stubble, his crystal blue eyes pierced my soul.
"I think I'd like to see..." He pressed the blade into between my bicep and tricep, and it stung like a bitch but I'd been cut many times before because I'm a klutz in the kitchen and I've been attacked. Many times. I'm very prone to being assaulted. "Some blood." He took his dirty-ass finger and wiped the shallow cut, and did the last thing I expected, which labeled as a whole new level of disgusting. He. Licked. His. Finger. My blood, is what he just tasted.
"Ew," I grimaced, speaking under my breath. "Why are you keeping me like this? I couldn't escape if I wanted too. And I'm not dumb enough to pick a fight the way I am." He could at any time shoot, kick, punch, stab, or hit my stomach at any time, and if I was going to lose my baby, it'd be at the same time I'd lose my life.
"The way you are? What's wrong with my princess?" I am not your fucking princess. I'm Lucian's fucking queen. I pursed my lips, knowing that if I told him, he'd stab me in a millisecond. "Are you sick?"
I nodded, getting choked up because if he ever made me strip down, he'd see my growing stomach that looked too prominent to look like fat. "Cancer runs in the family." It really does. My grandmother's (mamie) a survivor.
He looked taken aback, like he didn't think that something like that could happen to me. It hadn't, but I didn't believe it wouldn't happen at some point. "Hm. Well aren't you glad you I'm getting to you before the sickness does?" He smirked. He's smiling that I'm sick? I know I lied, but still, what the hell?
He glided the blade tip down my cleavage, keeping his nasty eyes trained on my breasts for more than a second, but my second mistake? Flinching when the knife reached my stomach. He snapped out of it in notice, and cocked a strong brow. He clenched the handle in his fist and thrusted the sharp knife forward with determination, and I let out a shriek cut short as I felt the knife just barely graze my stomach. He faked me out. His eyes widened, and he laughed with pure amusement and twisted joy.
"Oh man! This bitch isn't sick, she's fuckin' pregnant! Am I right, love?" Three out of six of Lucian's cute pet names. It's pissing me off.
"Yes." I mutter, holding in my tears for maybe the millionth time.
"And it's Lucian's?" I nodded and his smile spread dangerously wider. "Amazing. You two must be excited." He tested me with his eyes, and I couldn't keep it in anymore. I began to sob lightly, and shook my head helplessly. "Aw, he doesn't know? I heard the man was not a fan of people under the age of eighteen. I know you're a sap, what'd you name it? I'm sure it'd be beautiful, you know, if it were to live to be born."
"Ro..Rory. It's name is Rory. Don't hurt it please, don't touch it until I'm gone. The fact that I know it's going to die kills me worse than death itself. I'm begging you, Dean, please—"
