Okay, so my daughter isn't the worst. And yes, I know that sounds bad that I thought she'd be even a little bit hellish in some way, she's my daughter, but I'm really not a person to generally like children, no matter who they're related to and how I know them. They just all happen to be horrendous whenever I encounter them.

But Rosalina? She was perfect. She never cried much, and if she did, just simply being held calmed her down until we got her what she wanted. And yes, she was the cutest thing on the planet, she looked like Peyton, especially with her emerald green eyes, but Peyton said that she looks like me too, I guess I could see it. Peyton waited a good four months, only working once a week, before coming back to work everyday. She had to bring Rosa to work with us, so I put a little cradle between and behind our L shaped desk and a short cabinet filled with extra necessities.

But this month, ever since after she started working again, she's been getting sick left and right, Peyton had a cold, and as much as she was going to miss her so much, she insisted that I take Rosalina out to meet our family for the first time. And yes, Rosalina hadn't even met her grandparents yet. My father was away in España (Spain) with my mother to see my grandparents about an emergency, Peyton's parents were away in Ireland, and no sibling was allowed to hold Rosa up until this point anyways. My parents hadn't gotten back until just a few days ago, so I headed there first.

Did I mention that Rosalina was the squeakiest thing, also? Because she is. She just let out squeaks and giggles for no reason, and I'm sure she got that from her mother. And she was just having a blast in the back seat, having just freshly woken up from her nap. I pulled into my parents' driveway and got out to get Rosalina. I chuckled when I opened the door, the reason she was squealing so much was because her little bumblebee mobile above her head fell on her face and she thought it was the most amusing thing.

"You're so silly," I mumbled, clipping the stuffed bee back where it was. I figured that she wasn't going to stay in her basket for long inside that house of children-lovers (not in that sense), so I took her out of it and just brought her necessities bag and her blanket with me. I approached the door and knocked, because I didn't feel like putting anything down to reach into my back pocket for my keys. I felt something pulling at my neck, but I already knew that she was pulling my tie, she did that for attention, and I gave it to her every time.

I swung the bag over my shoulder and held her up in front of me. She giggled and squealed when I lowered her to me and kissed her cheeks. "Hurry and get that child in here and stop hogging her!" My mother fussed when the door opened, and I briefly took my attention away from Rosa, to step inside. I followed her to the living and sat down on the couch. "I cannot believe your jackass father forced me to España knowing Peyton was having the baby soon, this little one's almost half a year old and she doesn't even know she has grandparents."

"Wow, thanks for letting my baby's ears hear that bad word, ma." I glance at her excited expression and go ahead and give her Rosa. "Well Peyton's sick, so I'm just taking Rosa out for the day so Peyton can take some medicine and sleep it off." I reach into the bag and take out her bottle of pre-pumped milk and hand it to my mother. I got my phone out of my pocket and answered Peyton's text.

Did I give you enough milk? - Peyton

Yes, now go back to sleep, I've got her. - Me

I miss her. - Peyton

We'll be home later, get enough sleep before then, seriously, it drives me crazy knowing that my wife is sick and I can't take care of her myself, so...try to get better. I love you. - Me
