"Lucian?""I'm right where you left me." He called back and I went upstairs and into the bedroom.
"I swear if you go 'eh' about this I'm going to be mad at you for rest of the day and talk to Nicholas all night." I threatened, noting in my mind that was the best threat I've ever made.
"Peyton, if you talk to Nicholas all night you're walking to the airport tomorrow." Ooh, that was better.
I scoffed in fake offense. "If you make me walk, I won't call you."
"If you don't call me, you're walking back to your house too."
"And if you make me do that you...." I thought for a second and he turned around with an eyebrow raised. "You will not get anything from me for two months. Yes, that includes everything you're thinking of."
The next threat would be breaking up, but he was too smart to say anything like that. "I think this is the first time I've had no counter response. You win."
I smiled. "Yay. Now I know you've been waiting two hours but do you know how hard it is to match clothing colors specifically? I had to go to four different stores and couldn't find anything so I went to Jon's office and asked him to make something using the exact same color."
"What is it?" All he knew was that I was getting something to match his suit to my dress for the gala.
I took out the flat case and handed it to him. He opened it the slightest bit and tried so hard not to make the 'eh' sound of disagreement. "It is pink."
"No, it's nude pink. It looks more tan-ish and that compliments your eyes, which I like so much." I smiled, and he looked at me, seeing straight through my bullshit.
"You're not flattering me into wearing this tie."
"Well what am I supposed to do, wear another dress? It's really not that pink. It's a nude color, who the fuck is it actually going to bother besides you? So please, just wear it only tonight and then after that you can burn a...Jon Furtado tie." I gulped, putting my dress bag on the bed.
He sighed, looking at it again. Then I played another card. "Please? For me?" I held his hand and pouted.
And when he sighed again and lifted my hand to his lips to kiss my hand, I knew I won a second time. "Okay. For you. But if my father nags about it you take the fall for it completely."
I pecked his lips and grinned. "Of course." I went to the bed and laid on my stomach, propped up on my elbows, watching him.
He glanced at me again as he took off his shirt, leaving him in just his underwear. "You're just going to watch me get dressed?"
"I can't see my sexy boyfriend in just his underwear for a good five minutes?" I grinned, making his ears turn red. It really wasn't an opportunity to pass up. "So actually, I was with your mom earlier." She wanted to see my dress.
"That's not good." He put on his black dress pants to his suit and grabbed his white shirt.
I laughed a little. "What?"
"You are starting to spend time with my parents. Without me."
"Well, yeah. I like your parents. What, did you think I was just going to see them that one time and not befriend them?" He turned to look at me in surprise.
