Lexa looked at her phone. She was on google maps, trying to find the hospital.

It was no use. She had forgotten the name of the hospital and even if she did remember it then she wouldn't find it because her spelling was very bad.

Lexa put her phone down on her bed. She got off the bed and walked to the door to go downstairs.

Lexa went to the kitchen and sat down at the table. Her mom was cooking. Her mom was right there... She had to say something...

"Hi, Lexa, I hope you like pierogi because that's what I'm making."

"Yeah, that's fine," responded Lexa.

She had to say something.

Lexa's mom got plates and laid the food out on the table. Lexa sat down and began to eat, not waiting for her mom or Leon to sit down.

"Leon, get downstairs, dinner's ready!" shouted her mom.

Leon walked down the stairs and sat down at the table.

Dinner was quite normal. They all had a typical conversation with inside jokes and laughter. But the thought was still inside Lexa's mind.

She had to say something.

They had all almost finished their food. Dinner was the best time to say something, she had to say it soon.

They were about to finish their last pieces of food. It was now or never.

Lexa took a deep breath.

"Mom?" said Lexa.

"Yes?"

Lexa paused for a few seconds. She took another deep breath. She had to.

"Mom," said Lexa. "Do I have a cousin called Momo?"

Her mom coughed badly, so badly that her blue eyes teared up just a little bit.

Her mom stared at her. "Lexa, how do you know about this!?"

Crap.

"Um... Are you avoiding the question then? Wow, thank you."

"No I'm no-"

"Great mom you are, thanks," said Lexa. Hopefully the guilt trip would make her speak.

"Lexa, it's a long story," said her mom.

"Well I want to hear this 'long story' then."

Leon was silent, he was looking at both of them.

Lexa's mom shuffled in her seat and scratched the back of her head. "There's no easy way to explain this to you Lexa."

"I don't care, tell me."

"I suppose that you are old enough to know," said Lexa's mom. "Alright, I'll tell you..."

"Me and my sister never got along. We never bullied each other or anything, but we never considered each other friends. We used to always pick on each other and, when we were feeling extra mean, we would even spread rumours about each other or talk crap about the other to our friends. Sometimes I forgot she was my sister... Anyway, I ended up moving out of my mom's house at the age of eighteen. Ever since that day, I refused to have any contact with her."

"But one day, I got a call from someone. It was my sister. I considered not picking up the phone, but I had to. It was as if something was forcing me to talk to her... I picked up. That was when I found out about Momo. I ended up visiting my sister and as it turned out, she had changed. All of that happened because of Momo."
