A week had passed and things were getting worse. Police were arresting hybrids for no reason. Their letter was ignored and instead of holding back a bit the government started sending threats. Then they acted on them...

The Four Elementals, as they were now known, had settled into a routine of sorts.
It consisted of food and training with a bit of relaxation sprinkled in.

This particular morning though, something was wrong. Someone was missing. Amara noticed first. She woke early and went to Kilorn's hut to see if he was awake. He was gone.

Amara shook Flavia and Cal awake quickly. They scolded her for waking them up so early. They said he was probably just gone for a walk or something. Amara went back to bed.

They woke later and there was still no sign of Kilorn. Amara was getting worried.

They met Aku, as per usual. And Amara worriedly told her what had happened. Aku sent Eddie to look for him. After an hour of searching there was still no sign.

"If Eddie couldn't find him then he's not here," Aku stated.

Amara had been desperatly flying around in her Verum looking for Kilorn. She landed and changed back, panting.

"We... need to... find... him," Amara spluttered, exhausted. They had regrouped in the main building. Amara leaned against Spitfire the dragon. Spitfire exhaled smoke and wrapped her tail around Amara, gently lifting her into the soft saddle rested on rough scales. Amara smilled and wrapped her arms around the dragon's coarse neck.

A messenger hawk flew through one of the high windows and landed on a table beside Aku. Aku grabbed the message stone from the bag strapped to the blue-navy hawk's feathered chest. Aku pressed the thumb-sized indentation in the stone. A hologram of a dark-haired man wearing a blank white mask appeared in front of the group. This was odd. There was normally just a voice.

"I am an anonymous messenger of the people. I have sent you this message to inform you that we have Kilorn Warren. If you want him back in one piece, you must disband this organisation. You have twenty-four hours and then... well lets just say he won't be coming back in one piece. Choose wisely," the message ended. There was silence.
